Good idea for a thread though, back in the day when this place was heaving it would have caused carnage. Most American's didn't even know boxers from outside the States existed. Many used to argue that any fight not in America means nothing.

Anyone that said Joe Calzaghe was a brilliant fighter got ridiculed and told "you don't know shit about boxing" before he smashed one of their "stars" into a million pieces. Then they all started to reveal that in fact they had never seen Calzaghe fight before. They were literally calling Calzaghe shit because he wasn't from the States.

Thank fuck boxing is now a globally viewed sport.

Gotta say I was shocked when he had U.S. Against his name on the Ring website, but when you look at the pic, he's got the Mexican colours on his robe, so yeah, he has to be replaced,probably with Wilder.
