Scary but comical? that would make the film worth seeing. Clowns are scary.

Put it this way It can shapeshift and in the book (from what I can remember) he shapeshifts into a werewolf (I think this is in the film), a vampire, the creature from the black lagoon, a giant crow and flying leeches, there could be more, I think he may have became a witch for a short time in it as well.

As I say I just think there are elements of the book that just wouldn't translate well onto the big screen (especially the ritual of fucking chud)

I suppose I'll watch IT when it comes out. Not really fussed to tell the truth.

Ghost in the shell. It was OK but I prefer the anime OVA's and series'.

2 new horror movies coming out 'The Devil's Candy' and 'The Void' both look pretty intense....but meh nothing will have me as scared as 'Jaws' had me scared as a youngster or the first ever time I saw 'The Exorcist'.....oh almost forgot this....as a child 'Return to Oz' specifically this scene...

.....yeah kinda terrifying for a kid. Also Auntie Em sends Dorothy away for electroshock therapy, like 1910's electroshock therapy....creepy

I watched a few films on the long flight back from Canada.

I thought Lion was really good, enjoyed that a lot.

Arrival was also thought provoking and an intelligent Sci Fi film.

I watched Moonlight, which won the Oscar for best film. It was complete shit. Nothing happened for nearly two hours. The cynic in me thinks that a film about two black gay guys ticks many boxes after all the criticism of the Oscars not having a single black nominee last year. And we think the WBC are corrupt, immoral and too full of their own self importance
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?

Yeah 'Moonlight' was destined to win, much like '12 Years a Slave'....I mean after all it is THE CURRENT YEAR why wouldn't the Academy give it best picture? I look forward to next year when Eddie Murphy's satirical idea comes to fruition.

"Find me a script as a retarded slave and then I'll get the Oscar"

    .....indeed he would

Yeah Moonlight was sh-t. I turned it off once those 2 guys started kissing. Just wasn't for me. Took a turn I wasn't expecting after being looked after by the gangster/ drug dealer as a kid.

Jaws will always hold a special place in my heart. I think I watched Jaws 3 (3d) when it first came out in the theaters as a young kid. It was terrifying. The Omen films, Exorcist. Predator and Alien(s).

I watched 'The Unborn' and 'The Wraith' both horribly bad movies. Both old enough to really not need spoiler alerts.

'The Unborn' is about some Jewish mythological creature known as a "Dybbuk" which of course led to many horrible puns and jokes during the movie...."Well you're going to need this, it's 'The Only Book you need for Dybbuks' ".....and "Vaat vith all the reading, about dybbuks, can't ve get ze dvd?" etc.

'The Wraith' was even better, starring Charlie Sheen AND Randy Quaid (crazy on top of crazy) was a movie about teens drag racing and one too bad teen killing a couple other teenagers in doing the racing. What's funny is it's a movie about drag racing and the title is "The Wraith"......which lends itself to loads of Mike Tyson jokes "We're going to see who finishes this wraith" and "What's with Charlie Sheen, is he some kind of Wraith car driver or something?" and so forth.

Entertaining if you are able to help the movie along with your sense of humor.

The Great Wall - Matt Damon, say no more. Really enjoyed it, some of the fight scenes were incredible. Black powder thieves get taken prisoner by an army fighting monster types at the wall.

Logan - The opening with the car thieves was pretty savage, as was the climax of the scene where the army types go into Logan's gaff to get the girl. Other than that I didn't enjoy it much. Logan is far too miserable a bastard and those fucking kids could have fucking done more to help at the end.

Manchester by the sea - Dude moves away from his home town after a family tragedy, another one brings him back. I still cant figure out if it was brilliant, or dog shit. It all kinda played out as you would expect to be honest, there was no surprise, no twists or turns.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I remember that people lost their MINDS about Matt Damon being in that movie and why? Because they ASSUMED he took a role meant for an Asian actor and that Hollywood whitewashed that role.

Now @Memphis allow me to ask you.....was Matt Damon's character supposed to be Asian?

Excuse me, did I @-mention you Beanz? So the purpose of you jumping into a discussion between myself and Memphis is what? You are trying to score some points here because you're just getting hammered in the other thread by me?
