Hagler did not duck Spinks just as GGG did not duck Ward. Boxers go where the money is and it was staying a middleweight.

It would have been interesting if they could have fought at super middleweight. No idea who would win.

Just by definition catch weights have always been around. The bigger question is who would be considered the massive network darling and be handed 4,5,6 opportunities to play games with the weights and get away with it. Leonard v Lalonde comes to mind.

I was on about Hagler v Spinks if there was a super middleweight division.

Catchweight fights have littered boxing history. A funny thing I thought about was how Cruisers never try for catchweights with some heavies?

What about Bungu vs Tapia at 119 around 97?

Or Michael Carbajal v Ricardo Lopez.

I always wanted Lopez vs Johnson. Lets say at 109.

I know he didn't. I'm just stating that by today's standards, FANS would be hyping this fight up to the point of creating a narrative of Hagler being afraid.
