Brook had his moments in the fight..shame he couldn't have lasted one more round.
Cotto would destroy those eye sockets at 154.

Hindsight does suggest fighting GGG was a bit silly. At least work your way up through the weights and acclimatise yourself incrementally. GGG is one of the hardest punchers in the sport. We all thought it was a strange matchup that didn't really prove anything and it ended up with a serious injury. I struggle to see the sense in doing that. Okay it was a big pay day, but if you have several years of good fighting in you why bother doing it? Go up the weights naturally and maybe even catch GGG struggling for the weight at 38 or something. It was an odd one like Khan/Canelo. No need for it IMO.
It is a joke that they will try and sell Brook v Khan now when both are damaged good coming from losses and severe lack of confidence.
All the ingredients for a classic Sky PPV fight. No way will it be at Wembley now in front of 90,000 fans.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I'm not sure.
OK, so he was getting a bad beating from GGG by the end, but Brook looked pretty good against Spence to me. Maybe he just ran into a very very good fighter at welterweight, which could have happened whether or not he fought Golovkin.
It looked to me like Brook cut weight very well for this fight. He has always been too big for welter, and I remember him gassing out at halfway in several fights before GGG.
i don't think moving up in weight and losing harmed his career, it didn't do Ray Robinson too much legacy damage. It was also a different eye, so nothing to do with the old injury. Just unlucky.
If the GGG injury was fixed so well that it stood up to Spence for 11 rounds, it's possible that the new injury could be fixed just as well?
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Well with hindsight maybe the GGG flight did damage Brook more than we first thought. But don't forget, these guys are trying to make as much money as they possibly can . Brook would've neede 2, maybe 3 unification fights to earn the money he did against GGG .
Who's to say he wouldn't have got beat by Spence anyway?(and he probably would've got beat) and then the earning potential goes down.
It could be the end for Brook (with the exception of a fight I don't want to see happen with Khan,) but his earnings potential couldn't have been surpassed.
