Fuel that is proven by fact to not reach temperatures that can melt steel.
One fire started on the 4th floor then went upwards gutting the entire building and burning for 15 plus hours, while the other was hit high up, burned for 2 hours but managed to damage the untouched steel structure thousands of feet below.

There was also no steel in the London building just concrete.

Come on people open your eyes.

Steel doesn't have to MELT for it to lose it's structural integrity

Sorry to get back to the original intent of the thread, but this is by far the best post in it.

The building controller who passed this specification should be hung.

Is that what all the protesting was about? They showed it last night and looked like a near riot broke out with May being jeered and rushed off the property etc.

People are annoyed about the inaction and a real response to the tragedy

Seems tragedy and empty rhetoric of officials in response knows no boarders. Was it Government owned or private. Almost sounds like it was a death trap.

Government owned and they may have picked a cheap cladding which may have made the fire spread quicker

Terrorists were mixing bombs and screwed it up.

Not entirely sure how Government funded and supported housing programs work there but many places here are notorious for bad conditions and health-code violations. Until recently a couple locally were accidents waiting with limited entry- exit and half the emergency fixtures busted.
