When you're wanting to force place people in property you don't own yeah those property owners didn't sign up for that any more than those folks signed up for the fire.

Now should the government say "house these people and we'll give you some benefit should you want it" fine.

After hurricane Katrina we here in the US had to deal with that same thing on a much larger scale.

They are empty properties, some not even finished being built and they are social housing. Paid for by the government who caused the death of those relatives by cost cutting and you, all the way over in America are pissed about this?

Have to say I am pretty amazed at the callousness of the responses to new that the families affected by this are to be rehoused near to their friends and relatives rather than hundreds of miles away as often happens.

The right wing fake news is just swallowed whole and the fact that they will be housed in flats already set aside as social housing is ignored and people are focusing on the fact that it will be next to luxury flats.

It is because of the views of luxury flat owners, ironically many of whom are dodgy middle eastern and Russian Criminals wanting the eye sore of a council flat to be hidden behind what ended up being a lethal flammable cladding, that these families are homeless.

And yet the clowns are now suggesting that the luxury flat owners are now ' victims ' because of having to live next to Londoners. Clueless. Housing is so expensive and in short supply in London that many, many people and families in social housing work bloody hard. I have many friends who live in council flats in London but work, Tree Surgeons, Musicians, Plumbers etc. You don't even have to be poor to not be able to afford youwr own flat but the working poor is a bigger percentage than the unemployed poor, and yet people still want to look down their nose at them? After pretending to understand Joe sixpack or pretending to want an end to social inequality.

I am a fucking idiot for believing that a lot must get lost in translation and that we were all normal everyday working people. It seems many think they are above us.

We own our home and yet on the other side of the road it is council housing. This is quite usual in Britain where you have been able to buy council houses since Thatcher and mixed development is the norm. I always thought that was a good thing. Apparently not. Social segregation and apartheid is apparently preferable.

There is nothing wrong with social housing it was a great success for people on low incomes,! it provided a good home for people lets not be snobs I know plenty of shit bags who have there own houses.
Good people dont have to be rich remember money does not make you a good person very sad indeed to be judged by how much money you got and not by the person you are.!
Dont think a big house a nice car makes you the dogs bollocks sorry I know one or two that are the biggest pieces of shit you could meet horrible bastards no friends just first class cunts.
On the other hand I have friends from council house backgrounds that are fine upstanding people I am no snob I know good people from bad my wife lived in a council house how wrong people can be there again I am not a snob.

Beanz, I have to say I have a lot to say at the moment and most of it is disagreeing with you, I'm too drunk to articulate my thoughts at the minute though, plus I think (or hope) that I have got the wrong end of the stick.

I'm gunna re-read this tomorrow before I take the moral high ground.

so when I say in my opening line that I have to say that I have a lot to say, what I really mean is that I think I have a lot to say but I'm not going to say it just yet because I'm not sure if what I have to say is what I mean to say or if I am fully understanding the comments that have caused me to feel that I have a lot to say...at present though I disagree with you Beanz, however I will be more than happy to reevaluate my views tomorrow

I'm just glad that Paul Kevin lives on

What a fucking horrible heartless husk of a cunt you are then. Scallies? That is the extent of your empathy for ordinary people? Victims of austerity and corporate manslaughter. People that could not escape a fire because fire exits were blocked and their business was turned into a torch because it offended the rich? And you want to deny them the dignity of a home because in your opinion they are not middle class enough.

YOU don't own the properties or else YOU could let everyone live there for free!

They are set aside for social housing. That is one of the conditions for building the luxury flats next door. Council tenants pay rent you cunt. I was born in a tower like that one.

Miles, you're a two a penny English teacher, given the chance all the "scummy riff-raff" kids could do what you do. You're equating the worst stereotype of scumbags on a council estate to everyone.

The VAST MAJORITY that live on council estates grow up, get jobs, be just as successful as you in their chosen profession, have families and exist on this planet without ever committing crimes or being social pariahs.

At a petrol station a group of kids asked if you want a fight? Wow! Lets swiftly depart this disgusting barbaric land. Are you having a laugh? Maybe they were thinking why is this lanky posh twat gawking at us like we're meant to be in a zoo.

And how do you equate the very worst of modern day paupers with immigrants? So the poor, uneducated scallies are not good enough to be in your presence and neither are culturally different migrants, you know, because they rape and breed too much.

Seriously, and you get upset because someone calls you a pretentious snob? At least admit/accept you're a pretentious snob cunt. Jesus...
