And all Mayweather haters think that he hand picked every easy fight possible even though many of them were thought to be able to compete much better than they did. There were very few fighters that I think Floyd kind of avoided during his career. He was so much better than most people that it didn't matter who he fought, he was going to make his opponent look bad.

Disagree with this. It's all been hashed out in numerous other threads before so I don't really want to get into it again but here's my outline. I would have like to have seen him face Casamayor or Frietas before leaving 130 but he stepped up against the best guy at lightweight and gave him an immediate rematch after the closeness of the 1st bout so he got huge props for that. He would have been favored over Spadafore & Dorin but those 2 would have done more his legacy than Sosa & Ndou. The only guy he should have been looking at at 140 was Tszyu. A Wright fight was all but done but fell through for him to end up fighting Mitchell. I can understand the Baldomir fight because of the lineage but the Judah & De La Hoya fights were just money grabs. Did Hatton ever 'win' a fight at 147? Collazo would argue that. He took on one of the best in Marquez in his comeback but blew the weight against a lightweight. I give him credit for the Mosley win because Sugar Shane took out Margarito. The thing is he left the game (retired) leaving Cotto & Margarito to fight each other. He looked fantastic against young lion Alvarez, but didn't take the opportunity to face Martinez (the middleweight champ) who had previously offered to make 150. The Pac fight was 5 years too late. GGG offered to drop to 154. Ward said he'd come down to 160. It's not all Mayweathers fault that these fights didn't happen, just a list of other potential opponents.

Exactly Brock, nearly 3 billion people have watched that and it is completely shit. That song is a perfect metaphor for the Connor/Mayweather fight. Justin Bieber will probably sing it walking Mayweather to the ring. ALmost got there in the past.

The main thing I meant was avoided not that there weren't fights he potentially could have made. I've heard both sides of the argument many times and I just don't think that Floyd really avoided most fights. I'm not saying he didn't avoid any but not many IMO. Many fights that should have been made, as you said, weren't his fault.

I'm still not sure why people hate on the de la Hoya fight. I thought that de la Hoya would win. He was bigger and a really good fighter. It was definitely a tough fight. It wasn't at all a gimme.

I personally didn't think Oscar had much left after the Hopkins fight.
