They opened the first Bitcoin ATM here recently. They are recognising it in Japan. At least for the time being I think it is fairly solid. We will see though, governments and banks surely know the threat.

@walrus @Beanz I find stocks and Investments a very relevant and valid topic not boring at all not fuddy-duddy or anything like that so I don't know why beans would mention that walrus is posting boring topics. Stocks and Investments are an excellent topic as we are all thinking about our future. I find walrus to be very pragmatic and responsible and a great poster.
Yes, it is a bit scary isn't it, but some are obviously making a fortune from it. I would like to just go and buy one, but you can't exactly hold it or anything. Then you worry about losing it because of more savvy people than you. This article shows that it can be a bit of a headache, but the damn thing keeps rising.

Walrus and I have met twice in person at Joe Louis Plaza in front of Madison Square Garden right in Midtown Manhattan New York City the Big Apple the capital of the world. We have gone to a very eclectic and unique Pub for nice food and a couple of drinks two times where we shared excellent conversations which were not boring at all.
Join us and buy a Bitcoin, Beanz. Prove you can hang with the crew.
Miles I am seriously thinking about buying one once I do more study on the how's. I have some liquid cash I've been planning on doing something with. Are you serious in your consideration, just curious cause I would be much more willing if one of my best buds was taking the jump
It's something I have thought about and know I missed the boat talking rather than doing at $500. Yes, I am quite serious. I have some money available and I just want to know the safest most effective way of doing it. Could be a big decade for Bitcoin. Maybe a clampdown when the authorities realise they have lost control. It will make some moves while everything else is in increments or stagnating.

I have friends that have bitcoin but I struggle to keep my head above water. I never took the safe option mate. I am not complaining, just reassuring you I don't have money to invest. If I have money it puts food in the mouth, pays a bill or gets swallowed up by being self-employed (equipment, expenses etc).
That's fair enough. Bitcoin is dangerous because of the unknowns, but it is doing well.
