Good call getting the excuses in early. It ignores history, that Jack is more likely to get a win taken from him than gifted to him. If history matters.

I always enjoy a fighter like Jack that is constantly underrated, they make that cheddar for the betters.

What's the line on this fight in the U.K.? Does it match Vegas?

I cant really remember the De Gale fight, am I right in thinking the De Gale was bossing it and then gassed badly and done well to hang on till the end by which point the cards were pretty close?

Cleverly is just not that good. He is decent but I believe he has seen better days. Jack isn't great by any means, but he is a solid fighter with solid skills. I don't know if there will be a stoppage, but Jack should win this one pretty easily

Even though Cleverly is a shadow, this current version of Jack would have battered him at any time regardless. It's incredible watching Jack improve so greatly, become so much faster, stronger and sharper as he gets older. They've got some good training "methods" in the Mayweather gym.

Cleverly was winded in the opening minute(s) which totally drained his confidence and output.

    Jack-Kovalev would be some punchup.

Kovalev took nathan apart and he will never ever be the same.

Ward needs to stop wasting time and fight Stevenson.

Yes that is exactly how it went and the teeth knocked out. Bodou was also knocked down.

Well the Irish and Welsh will be tuning in for this card. They'll both have a reason to drink afterwards...

    Not that they need one

I think Jack's mob are right in their thinking, Cleverly is there for the taking and beating him will positions Jack for one of the proper fights at 175. Jack has made good improvements on a fight by fight basis and I thought he was a close but clear winner of both the Groves and DeGale fights. The fact that he got chinned in a round isnt going away but he stood up to anything Groves and DeGale could throw his way, both respectable punchers. Although a weight class up, Cleverly goes too much with volume, he doesn't put a lot of stink on his punches. Jack on points.

Easily the most competitive fight on paper under that circus tent of a card. I thought Jack was headed for the bin of also rans when he was pulverized by Edwards. He just came off as bland and a bit uninspired but now knows he belongs. He should have had the nod over DeGale and showed improved poise and pop that he can surely carry up. Approach wise this feels like a quality over quantity match right now with Cleverly looking to outhustle and it's not entirely out of the question, Jack isn't exactly a raging fire still but his punches sap a guy and Cleverly will be forced to stand in as it goes to keep pace. Can see Jack stronger down stretch and Cleverly gutting it out late but just for a Jack unanimous W.

Personally , I don't think this fight gains much interest from the mainstream over here. Boxing fans obviously like the fight, but it doesn't make massive waves. Jack isn't a massive name over here, despite beating Groves and (maybe) Degale. And Cleverley has for whatever reason, never Had a massive following. Personally I like the guy.
It's funny , but if a Brit beat Groves, smashed DeGale teeth out , beat Dirrell and at least drew with AA, He would be seen as the P4P #1 .

I see Jack as yet another fighter I got wrong. There is not a lot of sizzle with him so he's easy to dismiss as not special. I'm not comparing the 2 but there wasn't a lot of sizzle to Hopkins either. Just, the more I watch Jack the more I see in him. Some guys right away jump out, other guys slowly earn respect. You never know how a guy will adjust to a new weight but I assume Jack will be right with the top guys.
