he is from new york too( i think :S) so maybe that will help them sell it too.. Both are pretty unispired choices but as a time killer for spence to stay active they are both capable sparring partners for him until he gets one of the other best, there is certainly worse out there.
Collazo and Peterson are both decent choices. Thurman is still out from surgery (I'm assuming). I don't see any other great choices at the moment so they are fine stay busy fights. If he somehow can't get Thurman after that then he needs to step up a bit and fight D. Garcia or Porter. Then hopefully a showdown with Crawford can happen by latest early 2019
I hope it is Peterson so Thurman has no excuses to hide behind.
People are already misrepresenting that Thurman was "injured". He had bone spurs removed that he's had for years. It was elective and the timing of the surgery was fishy and his stated rehab time is beyond absurd.
Having had bone spurs removed before I can tell you it was the easiest surgery I've ever had, and I've had plenty of surgeries
He needs to fight Thurman! I'll settle for Danny Garcia
Crawford will wait for Mikey Garcia then move up
There's nobody at 154 apart from Cotto.
I'm sure Spence would like Pacquiao or even Horn
I think he'd perform a one man gang rape on Horn
Which I suppose would be quite fun to watch.
Here is a semi realistic progression towards a Spence vs Crawford showdown. Both of their next three fights
Spence:
Peterson
Thurman
D. Garcia
Crawford:
Collazo
Horn
Porter
If both of them could make those fights all before 2019, then in 2019 we could have a mega fight.
Like your program, but think Porter is a horrible match up for Crawford. He would make it an ugly fight and manhandle the smaller man, in my opinion. Think Crawford would match up better vs. Thurman or Garcia than Porter. Either way, I think Spence beats them all. Brook fought a great fight and it wasn't enough, so don't see any of the other guys having anything for him.
