Canelo could not even stop an old, small Cotto or Mosley...I think Canelo and Golden boy know something that we are not aware off...if it goes to points then Canelo wins and sets up the rematch.
This is GGG weightclass and he is used to knocking out middleweights.
Is there a rehydration clause? How big can Alvarez blow up to before stepping thru the ropes? Either way though I have always thought he is very underrated as a boxer he does not have enough to outbox Golovkin, and sure as hell ain't outfighting him. I worry if a huge Alvarez manages to finish on his feet, then however one-sided the beating he may well suffer, that the score cards will gift him an improbable win. I hate to cry robbery even after a wonky decision but to be honest it does seem a worrying possibility going in. No fighter should have to go into a fight thinking 'even if I comprehensively outland and outbox this guy the only way I will be given the decision is by knocking him out.
TKO late for GGG who will grind him down. Canelo will be a sucker for the uppercut and I can see him touching down at least once when Golovkin concentrates on the body. It will be very competitive for the first 4 rounds then GGG takes over.
I just can't see ggg losing. That about it. Took the night off and picked up some Guinness so I'm looking forward to it. As I've said I have a strong dislike for canelo since the trout fight
Anyone pay close attention here? Are we about fifty fifty or leaning more towards one in this large thread.
What does any of that even mean? We have seen part time boxers here in the UK demolish Mexicans who are nowhere near the level of incredibly accomplished amateurs like Golovkin. Canelo might be better than his detractors admit but he is not a better boxer and better fighter than Golovkin. The fight itself should answer those questions at least. The 'better man' thing is just stupid
Unless you're a Cuban amateur![]()
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Thanks @walrusI love Mexican fighters
Barrera, Morales, Chavez, Sanchez, Marquez and now Alvarez
Five of the best to ever do it and Canelo is well on his way IMO.
No prob @GaMo I think @Beanz felt you were being racially insensitive or perhaps racist but I just read it as you like Mexican fighters. I like American fighters of any heritage I don't think having a group you cheer for denotes nazism, damn ggg is my favorite fighter now, along with Crawford in these cases I'm not thinking of race, just as fighters. Good luck mo and if your boy wins, I think not, but I shall congratulate you, a sort of gentlemans wager
