It was a joke @powerpuncher I’m looking forward to the Charlo fight and I think Trout might have a rough night. The Lara fight is shit but two out of three ain’t bad.
Nice look at Lubin. Good move by him grabbing opportunity this early, definite win-win
Jermell Charlo v Erickson Lubin : WBC World Super-Welterweight Title
Jarrett Hurd v Austin Trout : IBF World Super Welterweight Title
Erislandy Lara v Terrell Gausha : WBA Super World Super Welterweight Title
(Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York)
PLUS
Leo Santa Cruz v Chris Avalos : WBA 'Super' Featherweight Title
Abner Mares v Andres Gutierrez WBA 'World' Featherweight Title
Eddie Ramirez v Antonio DeMarco : 10 Rounds Super-Lightweight
(Stubhub Centre, Carson, California)
Fight Night International , Sky Sports Main Event (00:30), Sky Sports Action (00:30)
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Charlo-Lubin looks a cracker on paper. Unexposed young Lubin is a competitive underdog with the bookies (5/4)
Gausha is a big dog (8/1) against Lara
Seeing/hearing lots of "experts" pick Trout (2/1) over Hurd.
Trout/Lubin double pays over 5/1 (general)

It’s going to be a long night I reckon.
I am definitely excited for the Charlo vs Lubin fight, but as I’m reading certain things about the fight, some people are thinking it’s going to be a classic for whatever reason. Neither are necessarily world beaters so it’s by no means a classic. It’s an interesting fight for sure though. I think that both have a lot to prove by winning and will boost either one quite a bit.
I’m really interested in the Hurd vs Trout fight too. Mainly because Trout proved in his last fight that he still has something left in the tank and I’ve never been that high on Hurd. I think if Hurd can convincingly beat Trout then he proves himself a legit top contender.
Lara really has no benefit for this fight other than keeping busy. If he wins, he will be thought of how he always has been, but if he loses or even looks bad winning he loses his steam as a top guy at 154.
Just watched this on YouTube, Trout did himself proud fighting a much bigger man, glad it was stopped when it was to be honest
Lubin can come back from that, as someone said earlier in the thread, it was one punch, it wasn't as if he got beat up over 12 rounds, the quality of the video that I watched wasn't the best, but it looked like Charlo twatted him on the ear which could be part of the reason why he looked like a dying fly when he was trying to get up.
I haven't bothered with the Lara fight, I had a feeling it'd be a bit of a stinker so I checked on what you lot said before I put it on, I'm glad I didn't waste my time with it
Lubin managed to make Charlo look like Thomas Hearns, Charlo isn’t a big puncher so we must assume Lubin has a glass jaw. Trout actually impressed me but it’s another defeat (4 out of 7) which probably spells the end for him at the top level. Lara was as boring as always not sure why so many people want to see him fight Canelo again, I literally feel asleep during that fight.
Be careful getting yourself caught in a trap of looking at a young fighter, deciding what he is and never allowing for change.
He’s had 3 straight KOs, and a TKO before that. It’s possible that good hard work he’s getting sparring now is making him better.
There’s something that makes me hesitant to get too excited about either Charlo but there is no denying the talent.
