I'd really like to see Golovkin start acting like he owns the room. Don't just ho hum along happy to be in 'big drama show' reacting to every whim. I mean get a chip on his shoulder and mess up his hair at least. And ffs stop speaking Canelos language..'look for tiebreaker'. It wasn't a tie, you won, act like it . Draws should have mandatory rematch timeline and it surely isn't 8-10 months.

I’m intrigued to see if GGG stays in shape between. He looked like crap entering camp for the first go.

By agreeing to May GGG is letting Canelo dictate the conditions. He won the last fight, he is the champion, at least demand a rematch sooner. May is too long when GGG probably has 2 years maximum. Personally, I would be a lot more nasty about it all. I would call Oscar the Trump of boxing and Canelo his cloned lookalike. Ask Oscar if he ever dressed up for Adelaide Byrd. You know, spice it all up a little. Tear down the walls. Ask for the judges to be put on camera while the scores are read. All that stuff.

It's no coincidence it's in May it's because of Cinco De Mayo, it's the most lucrative Vegas/American/PPV date in the calendar, one that Oscar exploited for years before Floyd took it and now Canelo. No conspiracy, purely good business.

That’s because Canelo is the A side and he can go elsewhere. What’s GGG going to do, Fight Jacobs again for a lot less money and Potentially lose? Of course not he’ll wait for the super-welterweight like a good boy.

    Will he boat.

GGG will probably pick up the WBO strap or keep himself active in between.

Canelo lost the fight. He has lost several fights now (to the non-blind) and it is a joke that he can still dictate. Should have been a rematch for January or February on Golovkin's terms. Once again, Canelo lost the fight (to the non-blind or utterly incompetent).

He didn’t lose and has only lost once (check the record books) Golovkin should give Jacobs a rematch instead trying to fight Cotto (another smaller man)

He lost to Trout, Lara, Mayweather and Golovkin. He's pretty lucky with the judges. Golovkin should give SMW a jog IMO. There is nothing more to prove at MW.

Check the record books Gamo, neither of them beat him.

If GGG has something to prove against Jacobs then why don't you accept that Canelo has something to prove against Lara and Trout?

So Canelo can go elsewhere can he? So where exactly are all these options?
None of them are options he WANTS to take.

Exactly. He never avenges his admittedly close losses. He's doing this one because at 154 there are men who know they can beat him and 160 is GGG. He cannot go up or down without taking a lot of heat. GGG could rematch Jacobs or move up and people would say 'Cool'. He's nothing to prove. Canelo has a lot to prove as there are question marks aplenty.

Canelo would never risk a fight against Jacob's. His level at middleweight is old Cotto. He only took Triple G because he was boxed into a corner.
