I ask that question because I am not sure what the traditions and customs of Britain really mean. You mean things like the monarchy, a habit of occupying large swathes of the world, financialisation, workhouses, food banks, a class system, knighthoods, hoodlums on street corners etc? Politicians of the UK and the pig at the trough system that goes with it. Traditions and customs is something people are more than awake to. Genocide is not a good look for anyone which is why by far the majority of Muslims worldwide would condemn it. I get that you, like a lot of White Christians, are in Denial about reality, but Muslims make up about 1% of America as opposed to 83% Christians. That still apparently is way too much for most of you and so some are are now starting to label it as an invasion. Way more muslims are killed worldwide by extremists but it's easier to pretend that minority represents them so that you can dismiss them all.

Problem is when any criticism of islam gets you accused of being "islamophobic" it makes the label seem redundant (like the Nazi thing). Without doubt your "paki" hating friends will hide behind the religion thing, however - Nawaz, Rushdie, Hirsi Ali, Murray, Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris, etc have all been accused of being "islamophobes" in the mainstream.

That is a brilliant point. It proves that people will often use labels and language to answer difficult questions. It is why far right people will refuse to be seen as racist, citing "black friends" and the right kind of Immigrant or Muslim as an excuse to not face up to their own prejudices. Just as putting people on ignore using Islamophobia, as a blanket statement to try and shut down debate, does not invalidate actual incidents of Islamophobia, it is also true that hating aspects of a religion (or bizarre traditional and superstitious customs pretending to be religious) or hate crimes carries out in the name of religion is not xenophobia.

So you have a president who courts people like Richard Spencer, a racist fuckwit, who also does not believe women should not be given the vote, and a vice president that wants the law to tell women what they can do with their bodies, and to outlaw homosexuality. This is both a Jewish and Islamic idea the thought that it is incumbent on all men to stop these kind of things. So you start by teaching your sons to respect women. (Unlike Christians Muslims do not believe women were created from Adam's rib and Jews do not believe Eve was the mother of sin, so women are though of as equal.) Those men that use religion as an excuse to abuse and even kill women are even more despicable than those who do not try and blame others.


So no there is nothing Islamophobic about you finding Honor killings or stoning of rape victims repugnant.

What is "Islamophobic" (and nobody should be hung up on words) is neglecting to ever mention Muslim officials in places like Pakistan giving the death penalty to rapists, using the extreme vile actions of extremists to define all Muslims and mocking any attempt to even discuss anything but negative Muslim stereotypes which you churn out after every atrocity.

Actually it is very different to Lyle's. Lyle's threads like most of his threads is a scatter gun attack on anybody not like him. So Black, LGBT, People of Colour, Special Interest Groups, Women anyone that he does to identify as. He does not deal with specifics or debatable conundrums, only tittle tattle and throwaway stupid vacuous celebrity tweets like his President.
