This would be great if it actually happened but to be honest, I’ll be a bit shocked if BJS steps up and fights Jacobs because it’s such a dangerous fight. If he loses then he loses his opportunity at the GGG bs Canelo winner.

As much as I rate BJS, he doesn't seem interested in the Jacobs fight as that could seriously derail his chances.

He wants that retirement/legacy money and let's hope he gets it.

I think he will wait it out and take a soft defence and fight GGG/Canelo winner in September.

Don't think for one minute that BJS and Jacobs will be fighting each other. But don't be surprised if Saunders next fight is in Vegas ppv against Canelo.
    Golden boy would feel:
    1. Easier than GGG
    2. Gives Canelo a belt and EVEN MORE LEVERAGE for the GGG fight in September.
    3. It puts pressure on GGG to rematch Jacobs
    4. Even if GGG gets through that, he'll be another year older by September with Father Time eating away at him.
This is the way GBP would be thinking, but the only problem would be, that after last night I reckon BJS would beat Canelo! Maybe he showed too much last night??
GGG has let GBP take the piss with negotiations and lack of commitment for the rematch (and the first fight!)
GGG likes to fight 3-4 times a year, and he's allowed GBP to piss him about a bit.
What team GGG should do is get in first and try to make a stadium fight with BJS In March.
That would leave Canelo looking for a viable opponent for May, and it may have to be a dangerous one.

Canelo could fight Mickey Mouse in May it would still sell.

    Golden boy is a joke.

Waiting for GGG to get old is so obvious.

The above scenario could possibly work because even if BJS does outbox Canelo in vegas...the scorecards will read different.

BJS gets a massive payday..Canelo gets the belt and GGG gets older.

Hearn won't put Jacobs in with GGG yet until he's had another win.

Be a great double header and as a build to needed winner vs winner I doubt Oscar would allow anything or anyone to take the shine off of his little Canelo, especially Jacobs who bailed on him. Call it once burnt twice shy but I'm not convinced they'll make May 5th but draw it out hoping yet more time ticks off on Golovkins clock. I suspect Saunders will ride this out and wait for winner all the while talking it up rightfully so, maybe take a mandatory Stateside for exposure ? and might be overthinking it but might be why they had top ranked Douglas sharing same card last night. Probably didn't count on Spike beating him like a drum though. Maybe keep newly ranked Spike as a hometown keep busy rematch, not sure that sells anything though.

Also same day as gerbil faced Bellew and Haye rematch, that'd be fun network comp depending on times etc.
