There’s not much in it in terms of their losses and the level of opponent. However in the W column Khan has a lot more names of note than Phil does. Those wins of Khans were many years ago now so Greco is actually a representation of where Khan is truly at in his career these days.

Virgil Hunter reckons it’s a tough fight which tells you what he really thinks of Khan. Khan most likely thinks if he avoids punchers from now on he can get to the Brook fight unscathed but Peterson wasn’t a puncher and he beat Khan with pressure and thats how Greco fights. Algerie wasn’t puncher but he pressured Khan for 12 rounds aswel and that was back when Khan was an active fighter. It may just be that this is Khans level now rather than a huge step down which is how it was seen when the fight was announced. I don’t think we will ever see him in world class opposition again such as Spence, Porter etc. The best he will fight is Brook whos coming off back to back KO defeats and been years since he beat the only world class fighter on his resume.
I pressed like for this post, and agree with almost everything about it. But if you're gonna name Porter as World class opposition, then Brook has to be. Yes , it was a long time ago that Brook beat him, but since then , arguably the only "W" against world class opposition on Porter's record is Broner. Now I believe that Broner was a top,top LW, a World class LWW, but at WW, he is too small and was always gonna get bullied against Porter.
Porter has been very competitive in other losing fights against top guys and all credit to him. But so has Brook.
Admittedly Brook has it all to prove at a new weight, but I'm just saying that he deserves at least to be in the same breath as Porter, surely.
Yes I see your point, Brook does hold a win over Porter so should be seen atleast on that level. When you consider that was a few years ago and since then Brooks been stopped twice and now campaigns at 154 I excluded him from the list of elite at 147. Porter made the list because he's beaten guys like Alexander, Berto, broner, malignaggi, Diaz and the fights with Thurman and Brook could've gone either way. Brooks only real top name is Porter which as I say was a close fight and he hasn't beaten anyone of note since. He is a good fighter Brook I just think his resume isn't as good as it could be.

For what what it's worth I've always given Brook the edge over Khan if they were to meet. No shame losing to Spence and Golovkin although it's not often in big fights where the home fighter gets stopped by the away fighter in back to back fights. I'd like to see what he has left vs Rabchenko. Likewise Khan needs to reaffirm he's not washed up in his next fight as wel
