Hmm, Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran and Robinson just to name a few straight away. Hell, in terms of achievements Bob Fitzimmons surpasses RJJ too really.
Jones was truly a spectacular talent, but his lack of meaningful rivalries or definitive wins (The great Ruiz excepted) does drop him down the list. Not all of that is necessarily his fault, but it is just there.
The steroid thing immediately discounts him in my opinion anyway.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
