Canelo waited too long in that fight to start throwing back. Canelo fought a negative fight and GGG should have pressed on the gas a bit more.

Hopefully Golovkin will just make it more certain this time without getting too desperate. Golovkin is too experienced to make a mistake like that again.

also let me address the crux of this thread "they(black fighters) fight in a style that is not pleasing to fans"....I beg to differ. I mean SURE nobody likes to see anyone do their impersonation of Bernard Hopkins, but it takes talent to fight that way.

As a boxing fan I look specifically not at 1 style but 2 styles and how they go together. GGG is aggressive, he's a solid boxer, and he is certainly offense first. Charlo looks to be more of a sweet science guy and if they were to fight it would be Charlo using his footwork to draw GGG out and catch him with counters. GGG would want to get Charlo's feet crossed up or in a corner and go to work on him. Not a good matchup for a fighter with age on him....not impossible but not a FUN fight for GGG. Canelo was believed to fight with some Mexican stand and deliver and he made it difficult by being evasive...ugly fight, ugly result, but here we are with the rematch.

I think Charlo will end up being a big time somebody but he's going to have to be able to consistently deliver the offense in his fights in order to attract the fans. And as MMA (God I hate to even bring it up), but as MMA continues to grow you're going to see more and more fans want that kind of attack where they assume no attention is being paid to defense. That's what Mike Tyson did which everyone loved, that's what RJJ did that everyone loved, and that's what Floyd Mayweather eventually chose not to do and well he got plenty of heat for it but hey there's money in that too.
