The irony is that GGG doesn’t really fight “Mexican style.” Against people like Monroe or Wade he does come forward a bit more and allow himself to be hit in order to get he KO. Against bigger punchers like Lemieux or Stevens, he completely stayed back and boxed. I’m not at all saying that’s a bad thing, but he has proven that he doesn’t want to stand in there and exchange with higher quality fighters/punchers.

Even Canelo he chose the safe route and didn’t step on the gas because he seemed trying to avoid the big counters. Again, I’m not saying it wasn’t smart but that he proves that he is more of a boxer than a brawler.
