It's odd, we had a nor'easter here which are normally the type of storm that causes blizzards but with the temp staying above 35 degrees Fahrenheit we got six inches of rain in one day. High winds killed 5 people by falling trees
We now have the problem of burst pipes and people without water in some parts.
In 2016 the city water pipes broke four times on my block and since then three people on the street, including me, had to replace hot water heaters because they were filled with sludge.
Oh snap grey they can be costly especially if oil or gas heated, the elective ones are easy to replace. If it was proven the sludge came from the city line are they liable to help defray the cost of replacement. I never heard of a case like that.
