Magic fight Dokes at very best and gave Holyfield a great fight. He was in it until the 10th when Evander landed that left hook.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
3-16-74: Roberto Duran KO win over Esteban de Jesus in Round 11 of the 2nd fight in their trilogy. This one was held in Panama City, Panama. Duran came back from a knockdown in the 1st round from a de Jesus left hook.
Watched this on ESPN years ago. Duran was seething, more than normals, because he got beat by Esteban de Jesus and lost his undefeated record and gets knock down again. Duran visited Esteban de Jesus in hospital when he was dying.

Matthew Saad Muhammad V John Conteh (second fight)
Muhammed won that easy the second time. Very good solid fighter.

Old school action, wish these guys were around today.
3-30-84: Marvin Hagler vs. Juan Domingo Roldan
Roldan was in the tradition of heavy-hitting Argentinians. One of Hagler's most impressive and hard-fought wins.
3-30-1965: José "Chegui" Torres knocks out Willie Pastrano in Madison Square Garden to win the WBC and WBA light heavyweight titles.
3-30-97: Wilfredo Vazquez defends his WBA World Featherweight title against Yuji Watanabe in Japan. Not only one of the great Puerto Rican champions, but one who, like back in those days, would typically travel to any country from early on, to take on challenges in their own backyards.
