The ref did ruin the fight. Parker was ineffective at a distance so had to get in close but whenever he did the ref stopped him from working. Joshua could keep it long then not worry about having to fight up close as the ref would help him out. If he needed a breather in the middle of the round he'd just pull on the tape on his glove so there was no way he was going to gas again.
Parkers effort was was a little disappointing when he knew he wasn't allowed to fight up close but he was the younger guy away from home coming off surgery on both elbows. You'd have to say it was abit disappointing from Joshua never looking close to hurting him at any point. Joshua looks sharper at this weight but his power was missing and he seemed cautious as if he didn't really believe in his own chin.
Wilder fight is back to looking like a 50-50 again and I think fury back to his best would probably play with Joshua. Having said that fury has been all talk for years and needs to prove he can still fight
Slow moving non vocal and arbitrarily inserting himself for no reason. AJ looked like he came to expect his interjections late in the fight and ref stifled natural flow.
The ref definitely ruined it from the 5th onwards when Parker backed AJ up with a solid right hand then Parkers arm went over the rope which he immediately freed up, the pair of them really started to trade and the cunt dived in calling a "Timeout" ... Timeout for what? Two fighters fighting?
Josh was having some rare success himself a few rounds later and the ref just stopped the action.
If one fighters got a 6 inch reach advantage and the ref is refusing to let any inside fighting happen then you don't have to be a rocket scientist to suss out which of the fighters it benefits.
Terrible referee, wonder who decided on using him?
