The Povetkin/Price fight was a fraud and a sham. So if Price had won did it mean he would be in line to fight for a title?

Povetkin deserves a title shot on his own steam. But to say that if, by the luck of all of the Gods and lucky charms in the universe, Price would have won that fight that he would have gotten a crack at a world title, is like saying Audley Harrison deserved his shot against Haye for the WBA title after losses to Rogan and all else, even Sprott.

Before the fight , it was officially given the status of a final eliminator, so if Price had won , Yes he would’ve been AJ’s mandatory. TBH people have done a lot less to earn a shot than beat Povetkin, so it would’ve been relatively fair.
But as we know, Price never won and was never likely to, so it’s all conjecture really.

As I was explained last year this whole "must defend the title" sham is just that, a sham. Drop a belt, fight Wilder, pick up a belt, same amount of belts. Here we are the next year and you all are still buying this. It's a little sad. Could have fought Wilder instead of Pulev, must defend the belt, turned out to be Takam, must defend the belt.

Same number of belts again! It's the fights that matter! Povetkin looked absolute shiite!

I favor AJ, Povetkin will be more dangerous than Parker tho.

Did you not see Povetkin rocked by David Price and look very poor?

If not Wilder I have no objections to this either.

I can still see Haye getting a shot if he comes through next month you know....

Yea Price can punch tho, AJ will have every advantage, I can see Povetkin taking risks and trying to land his right.

I reckon Povetkin could trouble Joshua. He’s got decent movement, good head movement and doesn’t worry about getting hit in order to get in distance to throw that big right hook.
Joshua might take some time to work him out, although clearly Joshua isn’t David Price.
You’re putting too much stock into Price rocking him. Price caught him, he was off balance , hence the falling backwards, but Povetkin was fine.

Who is “still buying this”? Why do you constantly think people are burying their heads in the sand?
I know when it suits you , you put a lot of stock in what fighters say, so........
Joshua SAID he wants all the belts FACT. Hearn SAID that with the amount of belts AJ has, as time goes on, the bodies will impose mandatories on him and if he wants to keep the belts , he has to honour them. This will make it harder to make the Wilder fight. FACT.
Now this may be a difficult juggling exercise , but that’s what they want. Nobody is “buying” anything. Are you seriously trying to say Joshua is SCARED of Wilder!
