Remember you didn't differentiate it made no difference to you that I am not a Zionist and that because my Mother is not Jewish most orthodox Jews would not even accept me to be Jewish. It was enough that my father and grandfather were Jews though for that to taint me 100% in your eyes.

Not really it is just the way strictly orthodox Jews see things. I am as proud of being the grandson of a Gyspy as I am of being the grandson of a Jew, but I have met racists from all faiths and ethnicities. Even Zionism is bandied about as a catch all for people with very different beliefs. My friend who is a very well known Anglican priest, has recently returned form visiting the persecuted Christians in Syria would describe himself as a committed Zionist. What he means is that like myself although he passionately supports the right for Israel to exist, it does not mean that it's current government are not racist in their treatment of Palestinians and occupation of the West bank. He calls himself a Zionist but I do not. My own father has lived in both Israel and Palestine so I don't need the media to tell me its a simple black and white situation when i understand how complex the situation is.

No my point is that bias and oversimplification occurs on all sides. I didn't google anything just looked at the about tab on the Youtube channel this one is on. There seems to be an insistence now on absolute truths, an almost religious zeal in which people will search for confirmation bias and discount anybodies real life experience. I am being told that The Guardian is Zionist but sometimes lets truth slip by a complete stranger on the internet, while I suppose I am supposed to ignore the fact that my sister-in-law and a few friends who write for the Guardian have a very different, first hand take on things. Ultimately people believe what they want to believe.
