Take the woman next door in the UK. 3 kids, 3 different Dads, mother on benefits letting the kids run riot while she smokes weed all day. That's not good. Then next door with us lot and our tragic back story. I won't talk about about it all with my family as it gets too screwed up. It really is everywhere. Even when the parents do not break up look at the horror Brock went through. We are creating a really bad situation. You really don't get so much of this in other societies. Why have kids if you are not going to be there for them? Why bother? We see with the rise of STD's that people are willing to sleep with anyone and unfortunately this is where all too many kids come from. Then we wonder why there are so many damaged kids. You bring up the single mother rate in black communities and the first thing you hear is 'racist'. It's not cool.
I would say that it is a broken family. A child needs a good male role model. Of course it is a tragedy if the Dad dies at war or of cancer, but all too many men abandon their kids and at a formative age. Trust me, when your mother is unable to give you connection and your Dad walks out on you and never ever tries to contact you again when you are 10 you are in a broken family. I am not being racist when I point this out. My experiences are no different than many black people. I know what it is like to grow up in an emotional prison like that. It's an all too common thing unfortunately.
But you have never thrown acid over anyone and I expect the children of the neighbor back home you are talking about have not either. So? I know more people whose parents divorced in the 70's than stayed together but the overwhelming majority of them are not criminals and don't use it as an excuse. I was once sucker punched, knocked out from a blow to the back of the head and the twat that did it blamed it on his parents divorcing when he was a teenager ffs. Personal responsibility. Fucking blame culture started with kids born in the 80s and under the influence of America. The real Satan.
The America thing was semi tongue in cheekπΊπΈπ³ππ
Point being, you turned out alright and are a decent and happy human being.

Just sounds like life mate. You did well for yourself while many people from stable two parent homes fuck up their lives big style. I bet that you looked good on the dance floor π
You are only missing righting a poem about your first true love, maybe a song.
