So why not just have a quiet family funeral? Why the song and dance? The entire thing was lame. David Bowie showed how you bow out with dignity. Privately done and ashes scattered secretly. It all becomes very undignified.

Hindsight's 20/20, like they say. I'm sure they'd like the chance at a do-over. Pretty sure they'd go for the quiet funeral thing.
I totally agree with Miles here. 110%. Why the song and dance? Why invite Louis Farrakhan? Why invite Al Sharpton? why invite a Mexican singer to a black funeral and then complain that the Mexican singer wore a mini-skirt? They deserved everything they got. What a bunch of baloney. The whole lot of them. And Maxine Waters giving some fictitious fantastic fictional salute from a nonsense Disney movie? What in God's name is that supposed to mean?
Exactly, it is pathetic. The brain cancer warmonger man one too. Lots of pomp, cameras, and of course political posturing. It's embarrassing for all involved really. The only one with any dignity was surprisingly Trump himself by just going for a round of golf or whatever it is he does.
Precisely. Bang on. That Warmonger subhuman piece of trash who is personally responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Syria and in Iraq and in Afghanistan, SHOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN ONE MILLISECOND OF ATTENTION. AGREE THAT DONALD TRUMP WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DID THE RIGHT THING.
John McShame should have been trampled over by elephants.
Miles has nailed it when he says that it was embarrassing for everyone all around. The sicophants were out in full force.
You know what I mean though, Tito? The way these things get turned into big show almost like the Oscars or something. I just find it all rather gross. Like I say the proper way to do it was like Bowie. Why would you make a funeral political or have Bill Clinton there. Maybe it is just me, but I honestly do not understand it. It all gets a bit like Alan Partridge when he goes to the funeral of Director of the BBC looking for a deal for a new series.
I see your point, Miles. In retrospect a quiet funeral would've served the purpose better. But the family can't be faulted for wanting some extra attention paid to the passing of a cultural icon. It's not their fault grown ups can't behave as much in special occasions. A former President knows he's on a stage with thousands of cameras on him. You'd think he could contain himself till he got to the nearest bathroom and jack off then. You'd think a bishop who knows he's in front of cameras FFS could hold off on cupping the poor girl right on the pulpit. You'd think any speaker would keep to the message at hand... the passing of Aretha. But again, hindsight's 20/20. I know they wish they had a do over.
But there's a difference between the way you say it and the way Brock says it. Though I didn't expect anything different.
Yeah, fuck'em. It's only the death of a dear and close family member. They invited those people, hoping for a decent funeral, like is afforded to any human being? Fuck'em. They deserved everything they got? Absolutely. After all... it is THEIR fault bishops decided to grope..... Clinton decided to ogle..... and a Reverend decided to get all political. It's Aretha's family's fault. Fuck'em, right Brock?
Should have just said she was great, it really would have been enough.
