Might need a hotel ballroom to fit them all in, though.

The NFL and NBA have been fixing games for a long time now.

Can't stand these closet gay athletes/ celebrities.

Ok so I read that Nike had released a TV commercial with Colin Kaepernick in it. This prompted a verbal thrashing from Donald Trump, Nike stocks went down, and there's been talk of a boycott of Nike products in the States.

So I decided to see what all the fuss was about. The above link contains the entire, uncut commercial.

WOW..... what an offensive, damaging, improper, incendiary TV commercial!!

I can see how Trump and all of Trump Nation is so offended. How DARE Nike release trash like that!

So let me get this straight.

The U.S. (America is the entire north and south continents) is the land of freedom of speech...... but Colin gets censored by everyone, including the f*cking POTUS...... while it's ok for Hate Groups to exist and spout their bullshit uncensored.

    Got it.

Someone quick come in here and tell me why this is a bad commercial and why it deserves all the backlash it's getting.

Nike is getting slammed. Colin Kaepernick and LeBron James are the biggest jokes since Al Sharpton and Tawana Brawley. These people should be arrested immediately. Not LeBron James but Colin Kaepernick should be arrested immediately

Why not arrest Lebron also? He's pretty outspoken about the same issues Kaepernick is. Why not just arrest him also?

Throw the book at 'em. Fuck'em.

They signed him to a two year contract. It’s not just one commercial. If enough people are truly against it, it will have a negative impact. Nike was down 3% yesterday not sure about today. Could be a short blip. I think it’s more people are tired of everything becoming politicized. Nike is still the #1 sports ware maker by a large percentage so I can’t imagine the impact will be long term. It may let others gain market share

Nike is getting all this free publicity. They may take a hit in the short term but I feel they are playing the long game here.

For those burning their gear, why not just donate it to help someone else.

I fail to see the political message in the ad. Is just using Kaepernick somehow sending a sublime political message to people?

I think people are just too sensitive on BOTH sides.

He's controversial but so what. Nothing about the ad itself is tasteless, offensive, or politicized, IMO.

On the face of it, it's ridiculous for Trump to be getting involved in who does what ads. Doesn't he have a country to run?

Oh I agree, there is nothing about the ad itself that is controversial. Other than who and why is in it.

Look at the in n out burger thing, they were protested for donating to the GOP then it was found they give to both parties like all companies. Screw Nike anyway, they spend too much on advertising rather than good shoes. New Balance is the way to go plus they are the official shoes of us nazis. New balance was boycotted when the ceo said something positive about trump. Please let us whites have something tits

Think Kaepernick is hurting Nike....wait for the tariffs.

It ain't like their stuff is made in the best conditions either so the whole fist in the air "We're down for the struggle" stance is hypocritical.

Jim Brown actual Civil Rights leader not a fan of Kaep. Said there's more ways to go about it than disrespecting the flag and anthem.

Watch those ratings on ESPN as well oooh boy

Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL, losing millions in potential salary. That in itself is punishment enough.

Now he does an ad for Nike and Trump and his followers have a fit?

You think Nike would've dared do an ad with any kind of implied message regarding Kaepernick's controversy?

I just see the whole uproar as ridiculous.

Tits Nike is not stupid. They did this precisely because of the implied message. Look at all the press they are getting. They knew they would turn off a segment of the population but excite they other. With the billions they spend on marketing everything is calculated. Like kabong pointed out they have been running sweat shops for years all over the world. Kaepernick is not a great player anyway. Not fit for even a second string who wants star money.
