this is bizarrely weird :S its a good fight so it'll be cool if it happens :S.. but ordering the mandatory to fight the former champ is full on weird :S

Mind blowing that people think GGG āIāll never fight Charloā Golovkin is a victim here. Look at Charlo, heās been mandatory forever to a guy who āwill never fight himā and to keep his mandatory spot he earned long ago, not to fight the champ, he has a tough fight. If itās unfair to anyone it is unfair to Charlo.
But thatās beside the most important point......this is awesome! GGG/Charlo is the best fight in the MW division possibly. And weāre getting it. Thatās great. I mean, assuming GGG will put aside his Iāll never fight Charlo stance. And if he wonāt he can kindly F off. I think he steps up and has another great performance win or lose.
The part that isnāt right about that article is the WBC ordering Thurman/Porter, Spence is getting screwed.
GGG=NFC......E!
(Never fight Charlo..... Ever!)
Big Charlo fan myself but just 14 months and having faced zero-zippo credible resistance over 6 total rounds in division hardly translates to Charlo being 'ducked' by Golovkin who had a mega rematch already in motion. If anyone blew up the best laid plans and timed out the clock it was Canelo who now gets a showcase vs a steadily out of top shape Lemieux who Golovkin beat up three yrs ago. I think Charlo is quite possibly future of the division but I'd like to see him face some incoming fire while Golovkin gets a bounce back fight to build.
On a side note how does the crooked wbc 'order' a fighter they do not even have ranked to do anything. Golovkin nowhere to be seen in current rankings..what is that.
I think Golovkin by KO is the most likely outcome, but I'm not confident.
Prime GGG would easily beat Charlo, but the current somewhat faded GGG will have a problem and may even lose.
I expecting this fight to not even happen though. Iām guessing that GGG will fight a tune up fight and then still get to fight Canelo in May. People will still want the third fight regardless. I really hope the fight happens though. If GGG wins, he proves that he is still the best MW. If he loses, it gives us fans more fights.
IF they have a third fight..... and that's a big if...... is there a snowball's chance in hell it could happen somewhere else?
Surely we're totally past "fool me once, fool me twice" territory.
It's the WBC doing everything they can to protect their boy. Alvarez avoids having to fight Charlo and takes some easy Cinco payday while either Golovkin emerges victorious with even more miles on the clock or Charlo gets slowed down a little before he faces Alvarez. If Charlo wins I don't think he'll get the next Alvarez fight either.
