There are always some fights people want to see.

Barker v Murray v Macklin would have been good to see.

not in the same league as the fights mentioned but does anyone remember (in the pre AJ days) when the biggest domestic HW fight that we had to look forward to was Fury v Price?

didn't Fury once say that Bellew and Price were gay lovers, it was at the time that Price was hitting people like a train and Fury was uppercutting himself.

    Found it

Interviewer - Calm down Tyson you live on Channel 5....go on then one more
Fury then goes on to call Bellew and Price gay lovers

Fans today think it's a modern thing that fighters swerve each other over rival promotional outfits and TV networks and whatnot.

But who remembers back in the late 90s when Britain had about half-a-dozen fringe world-class light-middles - Williams, Alexander, Farnell, Roberts, Stone, Tak, etc - who were all on SKY yet with different promoters and mickey mouse titles, so all claimed to be no.1 but never fought (some fights eventually happened too late). Mental.

I can still remember a Ringside show where Farnell got the raving with Alexander because he rated him about 5th best when asked to rank them. Hilarious. Farnell started offering him out and stuff.

Toney vs Hopkins as mentioned earlier would've been awesome.

Toney vs Eubank and Benn had a lot of beef but never happened.

The best fight never to happen as far as I'm concerned.

Why was the Trinidad vs Mosely fight never a "thing"? I would have thought that early and late stages this would have happened.

If Tito fought Vargas he could have fought Mosely at 154... or even when Mosely went to 154 Tito could have fought him when Mosely fought Vargas and/or Mayorga BOTH times.

I think Tito took other big fights at middleweight rather than stay at the weight he started to dominate.

The lure of moving up in weight and conquering other weight divisions... like most great fighters. Started off middleweight with a bang... but then ran into one of the great middleweights of all time.

Sweat Pea v Ike Quartey would have been nice to see.

Would Pernell Whitaker ever have fought Meldrick Taylor?

Tyson v (motivated) Witherspoon or Dokes

Too much of a kinship with Whitaker and Taylor coming out of the 84' Olympics as team mates and staying that way for a while. Witherspoon may have got Tyson if he didn't lose his trinket to Bonecrusher. After that he was busy stewing over and suing Don King who was never fond of. I think Tim even said he 'threw' the fight to Smith just to get away from King

I recall boxing magazines at the time saying Tito was beating a path towards Roy Jones.
