So....

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Not really you live your life accepting many things you have not personally proved are true. You are just re-inventing empirical evidence pretending that every scientist tests everything they believe, rejecting the documentation of all others. It is not the definition of fact , It's just pretend mate where you dismiss anything that contradicts your belief. You believe in the idea of a flat earth, not the reality of it.
It's called objective reality. If someone makes a claim that something is true, then I should be able to observe it, test it, repeat it, measure it.
No I know the earth is flat.
I'll put this here again:
As opposed to empirical sciences (natural and social), the formal sciences do not involve empirical procedures. They also do not presuppose knowledge of contingent facts, or describe the real world...Formal science is a method that is helpful to science but cannot replace science

If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
The Twain quote I posted is accredited to him, although there is no proof he made it (like I say, much of our history has anomalies), doesn't detract from the truth of the quote tho.
