Actually both are correct spellings and my phone unlike my pc is set up to use American English instead of British English so apologies to somebody who though apparently who unlike myself was not born on Britain is more British than me.

Agree with that Beanz. Objectivity seems lost on both sides though. I'm fed up with having to use disclaimers like 'I'm liberal but..' or 'I'm of the left but...' to preempt an assumption that people only put forward a view that supports their agenda/entrenched position. The sad thing is that assumption is true in many cases.

I can see in this thread that for some people its just about agenda, and as you imply, they wouldn't have put up links and videos that didn't support their wider views.

I'm not sure what's worse, people that only put forward a view that supports their wider views/politics, or people that assume that's what everyone does and therefore make people wary of adding weight to a cause they don't believe in:

The 14 year old boys who were vilified by the media have every right to participate in a pro-life march. The USA isn't a totalitarian country.

If you were honest and objective, you'd be critical of the mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, BBC) defamation of the kids. Would the media do that to a group of 14 year old Jewish kids in a march to support Israel's war crimes? Of course not.

I've seen nothing but an effort to show full context to the story for maybe the last 48 hrs on networks, but here we are stuck on the same outrage narrative. You wanna make instant news..hold your phone up and watch the networks clamour to keep up. Funny thing about instant 'news'..it develops and unfolds from multiple views. The young man put himself in a position to be center focus. He maintained an almost defiant position but I don't think he had a clue what he was standing for. Another man thought he was moving to defuse a potential situation and voiced his opinions. Young dude should not be vilified but he should also not be cast as some cap wearing singular victim. He's just another viral media event counting off 15 minutes. I heard racial slurs lobbed at 4 different ethnicities on that vid. If anything it was a generational learning opportunity but all there was cemented defiance and judgement.
