Bottom line is Fury has beat him to it and has been really well received in the US.
A Fury win against Wilder will put him even further ahead of AJ in terms of cracking the states.
There's not even a wealth of name US Heavies that AJ and Fury can work through to build up their profiles either so i dont really get why AJ didnt keep the April Wembley date and beat Miller in front of 90,000.
I think its a jealousy thing and he's realised Fury is the peoples champion currently.
Nah. Miller has a huge fan base from Brooklyn because he is a Brooklyn native. People are gonna show p for the local boy!

My point was more that outside of Brooklyn Miller is completely unknown.

AJ and co should just offer the fight to someone else like Breazeale.

He's already smashed Breazeale so whats the point?

    He should rematch Whyte.
Dillians done more than enough to earn the rematch.

All these other guys are complain about purses. AJ should just offer the fight to others, Bryan, Kabayel, Kownacki, Breazeale. All these guys would jump at the opportunity.

Disagree, do you really want to see AJ fight these B level fighters just because they will accept his purse offer? AJ can make fights with all of them if he truly wants to, he has the clout to do it.

I am suspecting AJ is not as confident as he claims he is and prefers to play it safe.

If it's purse bids that are the problem, Ortiz has made it known that he'll fight Joshua for nickels

According to this article DAZN are stumping up a career high payday for AJ to fight Miller in NYC.

    $32 million / £25 million

Thats amazing considering he's fighting a complete nobody.

Well Smashup is calling Miller a nobody, and Kownacki's record is not far of Millers. Bryan is #1 somehow in 1 of the alphabet groups. Like Slim mentioned, Ortiz has put his name forward. I think it's these other guys that aren't so confident and what to get as big a purse as possible, in case they are sent to the back of the line. It just shows how worthless these titles have become, now it's all about the money, rather than establishing yourself as the man and winning the championship.

Heard that, it's a decent fight. And he's willing to take what's offered, then get it done. I wonder if they will let the Pulev fight go to a purse bid. Can't see Hearn wanting to give up anything.

AJ is the money man, that is the problem as well, everyone expects to make millions to fight him. These guys that are refusing the fight should be dropped from the ratings.

Would they even have Ortiz as a possibility in time considering promotions? It would be a quality fight for AJ and frankly Ortiz will have put more time into fighting in front of a New York fanbase than hometown Miller has within a years time. Hearns actions and build on Miller just doesn't seem genuine for a huge fight and money he's talking vs Josuha. Mulvan Kansas with a crowd of literally 600-800 people ffs Just can't get my head around that if you're truly invested in a guy. I say get him more build up and exposure leading to AJ, namely familiarize him with Josuha fans who follow him over for his U.S debut.

There's still nothing signed as of now, so promotion would begin at the same time I guess. Ortiz is in training for a March fight, so the extra time could benefit him further. I say if he's happy with any offer, then make the fight.
