Canelo would in no way take that fight. I’m not sure how well Bivol would fight cutting down though. If he were anything like he is at his current weight though, Canelo would get beat badly.

Bivol says he could make 168 no problem... but then most fighters say that, only to have some of them encounter serious difficulties. Can't blame him for wanting someone like Canelo, though. A big name... and someone Bivol would toy with enroute to a comprehensive destruction. It'll never happen though.
Will he put his career on hold waiting for him is the important question. Would be sad to see another career wasted waiting on Canelo.
I don't think he'll make the same mistake as GGG. He's got his own stellar career to develop, and he doesn't need a Canelo who would never face him anyway. Too bad. A highlight reel KO of Canelo would definitely be a distinct possibility.
Everything aside, if Bivol can make the weight, it’s a good fight.
Will Canelo try and do a "Leonard" and pretend he wins a title at light heavyweight should he beat Bivol?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Yeh I can't see Canelo considering that one on his list priorities but Bivol dipped his toe in the Dazn/Hearn pool so they'll try to build something. But after Jacobs should all go well no doubt he'll be looking for something not so tough afterwards and round out the year most likely. They mentioned it out of the blue on Saturdays card two times...Bivol v GGG at 168. Canelo fights Bivol like he did in rematch I can see his little freckles getting permanently rearranged.
