So the results of the poll then? What does the data say Miles? Did it achieve what it set out to?

    I'm intrigued.

Not to rain on your parade here Master, but #1 A vaccine ain't coming anytime soon and #2 even if we do get a vaccine, by that time the virus will likely have mutated.

Looking at the revised models at present the death toll is similar to the flu WITH flu vaccine and that's with the folks in charge chalking everything they can up to Chinese Coronavirus sooooo I'm feeling like we can get back at our regular lives sooner rather than later.

I can tell you this, there's a lot of bullshit going on with certain governors here in the US Gov. Whitmer in Michigan is wielding power like a tyrant. She's banned people from buying seeds to grow their own food, she's banned people from travelling between properties they own, she's banned a drive in Church service where parishioners were in their own cars, she set the fucking state police on them.

The governor of my state has now limited any business to 20% of their capacity so going to get groceries will now be like trying to get into the hottest night club.

It's bullshit hell in England they're arresting people being out in nature, sunbathing, having picnics. But hey anything for "safety" right

There is no evidence anywhere suggesting that Coronavirus deaths are similar to the Flu with Flu vaccine. You are comparing an average 0.1% death rate with something multiple times that number even if you don't believe the 3% estimate.

You just made it up. And you saying

"...I'm feeling like we can get back at our regular lives sooner rather than later. "

is not just you voicing an opinion, it is you demanding that money and your wishes take precedence over the saving of other people's lives. Just like this entire thread, if it is not your direct family you and Gandalf don't give a shit. Like most nationalists what you really mean is there is no such thing as society, only me and my own, and i will watch anyone die before i give up an ounce of anything that is mine. You are basically Gollum with a gun.
See, this is another case in point. You are discussing something with Lyle yet HAVE to throw my name in there for your jollies. No, I have never said I do not give a shit unless it is someone in my family, so why would you say that? That is projection and a horrible slur. I was merely curious to know if anyone actually has someone close to them who has caught it because I don't know anyone. Not even beyond family. I do know death as my wife's old school friend lost her husband today from heart disease. He was younger than you and older than I. That is something tangible to me, but Corona frankly isn't at this point and I hope it remains so. I am sorry if you consider it selfish that I do not want anyone in my family to get sick.

You should really analyze yourself more and wonder if people really get annoyed with your honesty or actually your dishonesty and inability to treat as human beings. I wonder sometimes if you do it because when people do get nasty back you and they eventually always do you then play the victim card. You are basically asking for it yourself, aren't you really?

Actually Lyle does have a fair point. Certainly here the death rate is closer to 2% and is mostly older people or people with existing conditions like a bloke waiting for a transplant. If you actually factor in health and age, the death rate is according to the WHO about 0.4% for someone of our age and factoring in country even lower here, so in that regard Lyle is not totally off base.

There were people like Merkel, virus experts etc, predicting the greatest of calamities and it just has not happened like that. Some of that is down to good governance as people have been shielded from getting it. Is Lyle closer to 1 million plus deaths or closer to the flu deaths? Take your pick and you know the answer.

It does not mean anyone wants anyone to die or wants anyone to not be cautious, but your view that people don't want to give things up is strange. Give what up exactly? I do not know what you are talking about once again. I pay my taxes and of course do not have to pay council tax and that is the way I like it. I am happy to contribute towards society, but obviously do not endorse communism. Stop talking such utter nonsense and vote in the poll. I suspect that you are a no as well, but just want to squabble.

I think the conclusion of this investigation is that nobody here knows anybody in their family with the Corona virus. Fenster has a family where there are a lot of paranoid people with colds and Palmer has a pervy drunkard Uncle Albert who has the booze version, but nobody actually has the Corona virus. Personally I have not had a common cold for about 18 months due to a daily regimen of Ginseng that temporarily spiked my estrogen levels. There are side effects to everything, but my nasal passages remain uncongested.

It is a mysterious one for me. I suspect it is very nasty, but I also think it is somewhat uncommon partly due to the efforts of governments to encourage social distancing and arresting people surfing on the ocean completely alone whilst doing no distancing of their own during the arresting process.

My hope for the future is that you all stay safe and avoid using a hanky as it can collect residue for an extended duration. Use something disposable and wash your hands afterwards. Be positive and enjoy life because it is short and cancer or heart disease will typically be the ones that take you down early.

11, 329 Deaths in UK Hospitals alone.

    214 in South Korea.

    Gandalf doesn't have a clue.

    Gandalf doesn't give a shit.

Who here does not know someone personally who has been affected?

When we don't even have enough tests for NHS Staff how would anyone know?

Only a little bit one time. Apparently some men have the estrogen levels of menstruating women which is in the hundreds. I love my conversations with experts as they tell me the most interesting things. I would never have known that there are men with boobs who are in the permanent state of a woman on her period. Well, I do interact with Beanz, but I never really think of him as betitted. Isn't that awesome? My numbers were only slightly elevated a few points over the male norm which was nothing and why the doctor told me about the period men saying not to worry. We realized my ginseng consumption was a bit high. I learned all this as I do regular blood work. No symptoms. All of us men produce estrogen and you do too. I am within a normal range again now and am not betitted. Very slender is I.

Sometimes things just spike randomly too. My liver did one time when checking something else. I spent a hundred quid on an ultrasound and then 50 quid on blood work, but normal again a week later. 'What was it?' you ask and nobody knows most of the time.

The body works in mysterious ways, but I am of the view that everything happens for a reason. You just have to Sherlock Holmes it.

Yes, and 200,000 have died from other causes in that time too. I have continually said that we overlook those things and we do. Do I? Obviously not.

Of course I have a clue. Do you think I do not read the news or see people not social distancing there? Maybe they do not give a shit, but I always argue for self responsibility and wear a mask and never put others in harms way.

Has anyone in your family had it? Yes or No? Stop the estrogen thing and vote.

    Fuck knows without a test.

And shove your poll up your arse.

It won't be the first or last time will it Gladys?

So you are saying that it is something that affects most very mildly then? No hospitals, no symptoms? Impressive. You are giving Fensters family a run for their money.

In other words you are too stubborn to admit that your answer is no. There is no shame in that, nobody wants it. It is just something we should ask. We know people AFFECTED by it as everyone is, but who actually has it? Is that such a terrible question?

Why so hysterical? And yes, more people should get tubes up their arses. It would save so many. Of course I want to see people live and prosper and not find they have stage 4 cancer.

Miles can you define 'actually had coronavirus' please.

Does said person need to have died? Been tested and confirmed? Or do we allow people as we would the flu, to say yeah Ive got some or all of the symptoms so therefor, I have/have had it?

That is the tricky part. Many have been tested, so we would assume those people had or even have it, but if it is mild and not as serious as nade out then many might had had it and not known. Has anyone got really sick, so sick they could not breathe and needed a hospital? Walrus sounds the closest here, but anyone who got really sick and needed to be hospitalized would be quite a definite case. I don't know of anyone like that. My wife works for a large firm and nobody again, but there was a heart disease fatality today of a friend's husband which is fucking awful, but Corona? No. In a perverse way you just want to know who the people are. I know lots of foreigners with family stateside and in the UK. Nobody. There is sickness, but not Corona.

Does the absence of Coronavirus in your social circle mean or prove anything other than no one in your social circle has it or has had it? Is that minuscule slice of the World supposed to be representative of the remainder?

The goal posts on this have shifted and continue to shift as the true picture is painted. Echoed right here with the question does anyone know anyone that’s had it. To continue to support that narrative We now need to be related.

Let’s hope the answer to the question continues to be no.

I like to put it into perspective. This will pass soon and few will have family who even had it. Everyone will have family who will die from cancer or heart disease. 10 years from now this will be a flash in the pan while cancer and heart disease continue to kill in much higher numbers as they are even now.

It is nasty for some of course and I do not mock anyone's death or suffering. I just don't know anyone with it. My wife must have hundreds of friends and even someone in Daegu. I have less friends, but know a good 20 or so that all have family both here and back home and nothing.

Of course I hope it remains that way. I am a bit worried about Brock actually. Unless he is here, he has gone missing. Dia have you heard from the Brockster?
