Talk about how sad and tragic the president* is, this is just how sad his comments were:

Lysol maker warns against internal use of disinfectants after Trump comments
    Lauren Egan and Associated Press
    NBC NewsApril 24, 2020, 8:33 AM CDT

WASHINGTON — The manufacturer of Lysol, a disinfectant spray and cleaning product, issued a statement warning against any internal use after President Donald Trump suggested that people could get an "injection" of "the disinfectant that knocks (coronavirus) out in a minute."

"As a global leader in health and hygiene products, we must be clear that under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body (through injection, ingestion or any other route)," a spokesperson for Reckitt Benckiser, the United Kingdom-based owner of Lysol, said in a statement to NBC News.

they shouldn't have bothered, we could do without those who would try it

Well that's more of the press jumping to conclusions that "surely President Trump meant Clorox or Lysol" when what he actually said was "disinfectant" and the manner in which he used that was inquisitive towards the very doctors people so wish to hear from. President Trump also repeated "I'm not a doctor", but I guess these things are lost on a press which has it's mind made up that Orange man bad and of course there are more than a few citizens who feel the same way.

Ok. That's certainly another take on it, and one to be respected as any other.

But the whole thing... Trump's remarks on disinfectants and UV rays... the press's "jumping" on it... Trump's defense about his remarks having been made sarcastically... the whole ball of wax....

The whole thing could've been non-existent had Trump said a few simple words:

"I'm not a medical doctor nor virologist, and will abstain from commenting on specific treatments or cures. I'll yield the podium (fat chance) to our experts in the field so they can further explain."

But then.... that's not Trump, is it.

Trump is THE SELF-PROCLAIMED EXPERT on every single topic under the sun..... like the spoiled brat at Christmas with a living room full of toys and making sure he plays with each and every one of them.

He's finally POTUS, his lifelong dream, and by golly..... he's gonna stick his nose into every single topic.... whether he has the formal education or training or not.

Pray tell..... what OTHER topic is Orange Man Bad going to stick his orange nose in and indulge us with his expertise?

He said "I'm not a doctor" those are the verbatim words which he literally said. And THEN he asked Dr. Birx.

So the problem again is what exactly?

Trump could hand the press a gold bar and they'd still find something to bitch about.
