Ha! Fair play.
Much of what you said is spot on. Using a largely peaceful protest to hide behind while acting like a cunt, sums up the actions of those who purposefully or unwittingly end up undermining these things perfectly. I don't think you can then though act exactly like those you are condemning by assuming those at the forefront of direct action don't give a shit about the cause. The Colston statue is a very good example. As a Bristolian you of course will have a view on it, but also you will no doubt admit that being in one, if the not the most multicultural cities in the SW, that for Black Bristolians having to walk past a bloke who may well have branded and bought their ancestors must have seemed like a right slap in the face? So you not giving a fuck one way or the other has to be taken in that context. To then suggest that the people taking it down don't give a fuck about the cause requires a whole lot of assumptions. What about the last black hands that pushed it into the harbour? Do you really think just because it suits you it is OK to pretend he is just there for a Jolly?
And then it is all this false equivalency stuff. Jumping on a statue is in no way equivalent to throwing a bike at a Police horse and wishing that people get a kicking at the hands of the Police or worse the rent a mob Tommy Robinson fake Patriot cunts is just plain bollocks. 'Long overdue'? (:
It is quite funny seeing the cuntish hooligans standing around war memorials pretending to stand for law in order when just last year they were throwing bricks and fences at the coppers because TR was getting a long overdue spanking at the hands of the 'law' they invoke when it suits them.
We had the same thing down here. Bricks and paving stones dug up and left by the far right to try and provoke and delegitiamize and derail the protest. The local football firm waiting a mile away at the war memorial for a fight and racially abusing and cat calling black women walking past on their way to the protest. These are thugs who disrespected the memorial by turning their back on it and who i have never seen at any official memorial service. The Memorial they were 'Protecting' is full of the names of Muslim Soldiers who died in service of the commonwealth, but most of the cunts guarding it can't even read ffs. People by their hundreds claiming that everyone was jumping on a bandwagon despite 95% of the speakers being Black and many in attendance having been going to protests like this for 30+ years. Idiots without a CSE to their name calling the graduates, professors, health workers present, 'Selfish Morons who are going to cause thousands of deaths', despite being outside and again 90% wearing masks. You go to a supermarket and you are lucky if 25% have masks on.
It is like a rush to the bottom.
Yes of course you will have virtue signalling idiots like the white prats in Exeter speaking on behalf of Black people (DOh) and those who just want a barny, but most protests here have been peaceful.
It is also true that is a very welcome distraction from a Government intent on culling many of it's citizens, but today so many people struggle to have more than one thought in their head at any one time and change is never easy. That is what makes it worthwhile.

The 'cuntish hooligans' were former military defending their nations heritage. They were not even against BLM. Please tell the truth.

Robinson supporters oppose the industrial rape of children in the here and now. It is still going on. Black people are not slaves and not getting killed by police officers in the UK. It is hysteria over nothing. Many people in history and alive today are or have been racist. Do we burn books next? Do we re-write history? Do we now dig up and cremate anyone who opposed female suffrage? Do we burn the Queen for representing a family that oppressed and killed many? Do we eliminate their DNA? Where does it end? Do we erase William Burroughs for killing his wife? Do we delete Conrad for racism? Do we eliminate the Bible and Koran for their misogyny and violence towards others?
There comes a point when the mob needs to grow up a bit. A statue hurts nobody unless they are mentally ill. History is history and cannot be changed.

How is destroying a statue related to a rogue police officer? The George death hasn't even been proven to be race driven yet.
Now anyone who voted Tory is a racist. Yawn. Same old tropes from the wacky left.
The mob is not democracy, it is criminal. The mob has killed more than 20 in the US and killed more black people than what they claim to have been protesting.

Don't forget.
Johnson is a racist voted into power by racists.
That is not an opinion. It is a fact.
Look at the very vocal ex pat racists all blatantly admitting that property and objects are far more important than the lives of people.
And yet nobody would wish that they got a kicking, despite them being so obviously pro-murder themselves.

Is Johnson a racist?
You know that is indesputable but are more offended by me pointing that out than you are by examples of racism, because of that and your posts over the years it is incredibly hard to avoid the conclusion that you are a racist also.
Nowhere have I said that everyone who voted for Johnson was a racist. Just like not everyone who voted for Brexit was a racist.
The uncomfortable truth is that both the Tory and the Brexit leave campaign was run by a racist Eugenics fan whose rhetoric appeals to racists like those you love blowing smoke up your arse on here.

The Tory Party is full of racists. The cabinet, everywhere. They are vocal and explicit and if you voted for them you can not pretend that their racism is not being validated by your vote.
beanz is racist
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Beanz you're grossly over complicating what I'm saying. Lets say foreground rather than forefront. The people at the forefront, the people relentlessly petitioning the council to have the statue removed. Good people. The people who force their way into the foreground for their own ends, pricks. Anyone that formed the opinion that the council are doing fuck all, lets do it ourselves, more power to them. I'm simply saying that in my opinion, as in pretty much any gathering or protest, some of the people there, didn't form that opinion, or any other opinion, they just want to have a jolly, or something to do, or something 'edgy' to stick on social media. They're the ones making the headlines, and I hate them.
We all make assumptions.
I'll apply the same formula to these people. On the whole I don't doubt that the majority of people doing this are very much not on my watch. There will be a minority who hope it kicks off so they can make a day of it.It is quite funny seeing the cuntish hooligans standing around war memorials pretending to stand for law in order when just last year they were throwing bricks and fences at the coppers because TR was getting a long overdue spanking at the hands of the 'law' they invoke when it suits them.
The one who jumped on the cenotaph and tried to set fire to the Union flag. Was that a carefully well planned exercise to make a particular point? Or was it some donut who thought duh huh....I'm gonna jump up here and set fire to summat, I don't know what just yet, I'll make it up when I get there? I'm more than happy to make the assumption that it was the later and that the person doing it is a cunt.

I think part of it....and i will put on my tin hat now.....is that we are all on a spectrumand i am in a different part to you, so of course perception colours that a bit.
The thing that constantly frustrates me though (and i have been writing a piece about it for weeks now) is this false equivalency though. This idea that one extreme is as bad as the other. It does not quite work like that and is just a way we try to make the world seem much simpler than it is.

...and being a cunt is sort of just the base starting point we can assume for most people, ourselves included.
