Let's call a spade a spade, shall we?

Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes has been quoted on numerous occasions throughout the years with controversial remarks on violence, race, anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim, sexism, and more. He's obviously not a choir boy and no one should mistake his group as the Boy Scouts of America. While McInnes himself may not be totally responsible for the violence attributed to Proud Boys, specific racist assholes like Jason Kessler have taken the opportunity to spread the hate and violence while calling himself a Proud Boys member.

At the same time I've seen interviews with Proud Boys members and honestly feel that not everyone associated with that group is a racist White Supremacist. McInnes himself apparently tried to distance himself and the group from other extremist, violent hate groups... but IMO it's a case of too little too late. Once the perception is there, it's tough to get rid of it.

On the other hand, nobody is mistaking Antifa for a bunch of Boy Scouts either. In fact, Antifa is being investigated by the FBI because is always the case... it's an example of a well-intentioned organization gone rogue. The idea of "anti-fascism" may be noble... but as always it falls into the hands of violent thugs who decide to take matters into their own hands.

Now let's talk about something else.

Let's think about this for a minute. Why oh why the continued insistence on having Trump utter the words "I condemn White Supremacy."??!??

Does ANYONE in their right minds think this would make one iota of difference??

My thread title question only becomes more critical with each passing day.

Let's say Biden wins the election. We can look forward to:

• Trump's never-ending and disruptive cries of election fraud... and his initial refusal to step down from office.
• Trump's rallying cry to his supporters to deepen the chasm between themselves and The Enemy... and will stoke the fires of hatred and violence from the sidelines.
• Everything Biden does from the second he puts feet down rising from the bed at the White House will be scrutinized with an electron microscope and criticized in every conceivable way.
• The COVID vaccine, which has always been said will be available in mid-2121, will take until then... and Trump and his fans will crow that under Trump it would've been ready next week.
• Biden will be left to pick up the pieces from the U.S.'s shattered image abroad.

It's gonna be a SHIT job no matter what. A no-win situation, and... frankly... it would serve Donald right to suffer the consequences of his shitty leadership for the last 4 years.

Democrats have by and large been so consumed with Trump, that they have forgotten the most important part.... coming up with a plan themselves to get us out of the many issues hurting society today.

Trump followers make the key mistake of lumping all Trump detractors together and true.... many haters have blinders on and cannot see the forest for the trees.

But along with criticism, you should have alternative plans. And criticism itself gets old after the millionth time it's leveled. At some point people want to hear PLANS.

But not all Trump detractors are created equal. Some of us (yes... I include myself in there) have always been willing to give Trump the credit he deserves, along with the criticism he deserves as well.
