Don't get me wrong I've not got a great deal of time for the coppers, but these cunts were trying to set a riot van on fire whilst it was full of pigs. There's a great clip that pretty much sums up the whole thing. Some scumbag slag with dreads gets in the face of a copper, gets told to fuck off, her scumbag mate grabs her by the dreads and starts yanking her about, then it cuts to her scumbag mate claiming that the pigs yanked her hair out

It did make for some great reading on Posset pages, the local Portishead Facebook group. I live there now but I'm very much an outsider . "Oh the disgraceful behaviour of "The people of Bristol". I didnt do fuck all!! Normally the most excitement they get is the bins outside Costa looking like they're more than three quarters full.

Works both ways. I saw all the outrage in the broadsheets with the assertion that Coppers had had their arms broken and punctured lungs etc. Then a few days later a tiny paragraph inside admitting that actually there were no broken bones or punctured lungs for the Police at all. My little brother lives in Brizzle now with his twin sisters, and he was telling me that after taking part in the sit down protest the old Bill came over and started hitting seated protestors with truncheons and riot shields and that was his cue to get up and leave. He is only 30, the same age as my stepson, but already his A/S makes him look like a question mark, so he is not about to fight anyone.

I always loved gigging in Bristol in the mid/late nineties and was usually fine except for a massive fight at the Ropewalk once when us 'Crusties' had a bit of a fall out with some bikers who were hitting on one of the roadies girlfriends Was a bit hairy visiting my mate in St Pauls for Raves and Squat parties then too.

    Great city though.
