Far as yesterday I don't see anything coming on the Waters front. A politician with a big mouth who doesn't know when to shut up. She's a dope, has been all along. But if anything a shifty defense lawyer would have made a case when they seated the juror who said they were "afraid" of the BLM stuff. Hmm so afraid you cannot make an independent decision.

So good chance Chauvin spends the rest of his life in prison.
Good.
Hope it's the deterrent everyone hopes it'll be to the other Chauvins out there.
Maybe not. Just the judge bringing it up I think gives it weight. Can’t say for sure of course not a lawyer. Now what is this dude facing time wise? I know I stirred up some doo doo saying I wanted the jury to decide. I said long back in the thread the dude looked guilty by his actions but I don’t feel comfortable declaring guilt by media story these days. Just my take on things.

This is what I meant when I pointed out how you talk out of both sides of your mouth. It wasn't an ad hominem attack, it was a reflection based on facts. Here you are in the same thread calling for riots and then calling someone else an idiot for doing the exact same thing.
It is what I meant when I suggested if you were with fellow Saddos and it all kicked off, you would join the side you thought was likely to win.
I don't get any pleasure in pointing it out.
'If there even is such a thing as racism'? Is something else you said to suck up to the racists here.
Sad.

This is where you could benefit by getting some of your information from.........twitter. There are dozens of appelate lawyers on there and there's basically unanimous agreement that there's no chance of a successful appeal. Long story short, if there's either video evidence of the crime or the trial itslef was filmed or there's overwhelming evidence of the crime then forget a successful appeal. In this case you've got all three. It's doubtful that an appelate court will even hear it past watching the video.
An example from twitter of somebody who knows what they're talking about:

This is all academic anyway as Chauvin will get shanked in prison sooner rather than later. And I would expect his family to start taking casualties even before somebody manages to get to Chauvin.

I don’t like Twitter due to its censorship and algorithm feeding people news they only agree with. Very divisive. It leads to people being close minded like yourself. The judge has leeway in sentencing. I find too much reporting too biased. But l live here and hear it everyday. Probably different for people who rely on twatter everyday feeding there own bias and making them feel secure and right 100% of the time.

This... from a NY Post article:
"He could get up to four decades behind bars for the top count of second-degree murder. The second count of of third degree murder carries a penalty of up to 25 years, but he will only be sentenced on the top count as per state law, said Samuel McCloud, who has practiced criminal law in Minnesota for 44 years.
The third count he was convicted of, second-degree manslaughter, carries a 10-year maximum — but he also will not face sentencing on that count as per state law, McCloud said.
While second-degree murder carries a “statutory maximum” of 40 years in the state, Chauvin will likely face far less time when he is sentenced, as per state sentencing guidelines.
The guidelines call for about 12 years in prison for Chauvin, but prosecutors have asked for an “upward departure” from that, which could add a number of years to the sentence, former prosecutor Susan Gaertner said."
It's ok to quote the NY Post, right? Because I know all media is shit.
Anyway, 12 years in protective custody is a sham of a sentence to hand out to a White Supremacist murderer.
It's an empty victory, having convicted him of three charges, the most serious being 2nd-degree murder.
I wonder what "guidelines" they're referring to.
Are these the guidelines where they treat White Supremacist murdering cops different than the rest of the population? Those guidelines?
Now I'M the one who's confused.

Yes, getting your information directly from dozens of actual experts who work doing the stuff being discussed every day of their professional lives is obviously going to mean you end up with a whole bunch of biased, incorrect information. That's why I'm always wrong about everything. Getting your news from Fox News and talk radio idiots is far superior as you demonstrate on a regular basis.
