Couldn't agree more on #2.
#3... the reason I think he's caving is precisely because he's trying to please all of America, which as you well said, is impossible. You're always going to make someone very unhappy with your decisions. But Joe has always seemed to represent that portion of the Democratic Party which is more moderate. Moderates, after all, are more likely to be able to reach out across the aisle... in reference to your mention of bipartisanship. I'm all for bipartisanship. It's the only true way to get things done in the country, with a majority of public approval. But you get these leftist extremists who are only too willing to rake Joe over the coals if he doesn't for example completely throw the southern border doors open for all to come to America. Those who say he hasn't gone far enough in climate change and gun control issues... and will never be happy no matter how much he tries to appease them. IMO, at some point he's going to have to show some "cojones" and stand up to those who have extremist agendas and aren't interested in compromises or bipartisanship. And I'm not sure he'll be up to the task.
