They haven't announced what exactly has happened... but it appears one of the Danish players is down on the pitch and receiving medical assistance. Praying for a good result. Fans and players alike are in tears, so it's kind of scary right now. The player is Christian Erickson.

Nasty to watch, he was down getting cpr for a long time... Seems like he was awake when he was taken off the pitch though and is now conscious and talking in hospital and they've restarted Finland v Denmark, not sure that was the best idea but the players should be the one to decide if they finish the game or not..
. I thought he was dead good to hear he conscious now, hopefully he hasn't suffered any permanent damage.

Denmarks captain deserves a medal for the way he handled that situation, straight over to open his airway up more, then got the players to circle him and block the cameras while he was getting CPR, then over to Eriksens wife to console her.
Horrible to watch that and i honestly thought he wouldn't make it, he did die on that pitch and they managed to bring him back.
I'm a huge Spurs fan so it was double hard to see him like that.
Saying it was a Cardiac Arrest and he won't play ever again.
He's only 29 years old

England won! Sterling played well and Phillips was a dynamo in midfield. Good overall performance.

Belgium won without their best player and Lukaku looks on fire.

England looked solid and Phillips looked quality, we look like we've hit form at the perfect time, I was having serious doubts after our last 2 friendly games but with the City and Chelsea boys back it's looking good.
Anyone else think the style we play doesn't suit Kane?
He's way too deep to be effective but I'm 100% sure he was still seriously rattled by what he saw last night with his good mate Erikson.
There's goals from everywhere in this England team and with a solid backbone we could go deep into this 😎

I was messaging friend groups after first half saying there was an unconfirmed rumour that Kane was on the pitch.

He didn't touch the ball first half hour I don't think and no didnt seem to suit him at all and there was no real chances created goal and Foden aside.

But class is permanent and I'm sure he'll come good. Come top and I think we stay at Wembley. First game win in ten as said so we'll take the positive.

Can only get better. At 49 I will not be getting carried away...

Holland v Ukraine was an entertaining match.

Scotland tried and gave a good effort against the Czechs.

I have spent ages laughing at the Jockos for that goal. Exactly what you'd expect from a Scottish goalkeeper in a major tournament.

Damn tsn direct self destructed when the Dutch game was on Soni only saw the first and last five minutes and it seems like it was the best game/half of the tournament.... All these games are on when I'm at work so it's a bit crap not seeing them on tv but I do get to listen to all of them live instead which isn't so bad, had a run of scotland v Czechs, poles v slovaks(that one sounded good), Spain v Sweden(also sounded like a good game even at 0-0) and then the copa america is on too so it was argies v Chile to finish the work day(nice free kick by messi)....


It was a great strike by Schick a shot that would have missed a lot of other days but you do have to wonder how Marshall was caught out so easily, scotland don't even play with the sweeper keeper usually :S.... Stay back m8.. I actually think scotland have a chance v Croatia, the cros are on a downward slope and don't have a good record v scotland, unfortunately for scotland 2-0 defeat v the Czechs won't help the goal difference and I think there's no chance they don't lose to England(they play similar styles but England are just better) and scotland aren't prolific scorers so a narrow win v Croatia probably won't be enough as the third place team.

I've missed more matches than I would've liked... but fortunately caught the match between France and Germany. Glad France won, since I have little love for Germany. Although the final score was 1-0... could've easily been 3-2. Both barely missed some golden opportunities to score more. Seems like more "own goals" than usual in these games.

Now that all the teams have played their first match I think France have been the most impressive considering who they were playing. Italy are the other impressive team.
