Since when does a legend in boxing lower himself to fighting a boy still wet behind the ears? He's "got mental health issues"... so that makes him sort of untouchable from a criticism point of view. But the time to PUT UP OR SHUT UP is fast approaching... and if he doesn't live up to the hype, he's gonna have to take a demotion from "King" to "Pauper."

It's amusing how once the media falls in love with a young kid (good looks, a mouth to match, being American helps)... it's like a pitbull with a bone. They just won't let go.
i don't care for ratings, only who fighters fight. loma sure, who doesn't have a hard time with loma? tank struggled with isaac, it is not beyond possibility king ry could beat tank. is teo still at one thirty five? lots of nicknames don't fit in boxing. what fighter doesn't want to get a big fight against a huge name in the sport. jake would love to get a canelo fight. he is still only twenty three so time is on his side. lots of prospects have failed to live up to the hype

I don't care for ratings either, especially when they can have Garcia as a top 5.

would you be able to post your top five at one thirty five?

I'd easily put Loma, Kambosos, Davis, Haney, and Lopez ahead of Pauper Ry. And I'm being kind not putting Joseph Diaz and Linares ahead of him also.

Hell... even Pitbull Cruz kicks Hype Job's ass.

loma is a hard out for anyone at lightweight. i think king ry could beat devin, gervonta & isaac. i see isaac as the toughest fight of the three. i could also see him beating george. another tough fight. i don't think we will see teo at one thirty five again. i also think he's better than jo jo & jorge is shot to bits. king ry would beat zaur. hopefully king ry can get back on track & get in a few fights this year

I'll be here when the so-called "King" (really a pauper) comes crashing down to Earth and gets turned into the Court Jester. He won't be able to withstand the mental grind, and go back to being Instagram King.

    Glad we agree.

Of course, it looks worse when the hype is self-promoted.

Looks like this one will be batting 3rd in terms of main events to tune in for but just glad both actually showed up for the weigh in . Should be decent. Pretty thin undercard with Gabe Rosado v Shane Mosley Jr . Maybe I'll be totally off but think Rosado absolutely picks Jr apart and batters him. Marlen Esparza in action in what is a unification. She's pretty exciting and taking on Naoko Fujioka who is just about 47 yrs old. Oof.

Dazn announcers on a bender today. Can we watch one fighter from Japan without referring to Samurais ffs . Esparza rocked Fujioka in 2nd.

Fujioka 3rd and missed the 4th because you know Dazn wants to refresh every 2 minutes .

Esparza 6th and Fujioka rocked her early 7th. Historically where would this rank oldest fighter wise for a fighter to unify. She doesn't fight like a 46 year old

Womens boxing seriously needs to be 3 minute rounds
