Europe has the best football teams by far and many miss out. Let's face it the euros are basically the world Cup without Brazil and Argentina when it comes to the business end of the tournaments.

No idea what the split is intended to be when it goes to 48 countries.

When you look at the FIFA world rankings, it supports your point. If you look at # of countries in the top 32 FIFA rankings versus how many qualifiers they get, it looks something like this:

FIFA Confederation - # of qualifiers - # of countries in top 32

    UEFA - 13 - 16

    CONMEBOL - 4.5 - 6

    CONCACAF - 3.5 - 3

    CAF - 5 - 4

    AFC - 4.5 - 3

So actually, Europe and S America are technically underrepresented in the World Cup, while the others are slightly overrepresented.
You have an opinion on everything you don't ya ? Yes I do. Would you like to hear my opinion on other topics?

How's the giants of football (Soccer) Puerto Rico doing these days ? We don't DO soccer. We do boxing, baseball, and basketball.

    I'll wait

Sorry I couldn't back up your racist views with facts... but then it's tough to defend viewpoints that always center around racism... real or perceived.
Well everything on this planet is rooted in racism.

Now let's be clear one thing

You brought up race. Not me. I was talking about world cup allocation.

    You brought it up.

And I was explaining what I believe is the basis for World Cup allocation after initially supporting your viewpoint that African nations are somehow slighted. A perception that is proven wrong by the statistics I shared with you.

But you seemed to take exception to that, and posted as such.

To which I calmly and clearly clarified that Puerto Rico doesn't do soccer. An irrelevant fact that shouldn't even have been a topic of conversation, except you thought it might get a rise out of me.

But then we all know that your initial post on this thread pretty much insinuated that African nations were somehow being "left out" of equal representation in the World Cup, didn't it.

Why else would you bring that up? Unless it fits together with your constant droning about how "everything on this planet being rooted in racism."

You may not have uttered the word "racism", but your twisted world views practically OOZED out of your post.

We all agree the World Cup should not be Qatar for reasons of corruption, human rights and messing the football season but let’s have some predictions.

    Winner:
    Finalist:
    Top Scorer:
    Player of the tournament:
    Best keeper:
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Well apart from France my other predictions have crashed a bit, Brazil out, amazing that they threw that away Croatia are impressively determined and are masters of shoot outs now... Kane has scored once.... Neymar was injured and is out now, great goal today v Croatia at least.. argy Martinez has been sosgyall tournament in goals until the shootout where he did what he does... But he's not going to be the best goalie of the tournament:S...

Great assist by Messi today, the argies really seem to have developed some bad habits with their complacency in games, threw away the lead v Saudis, went 2 up v Aussies and the Aussies nearly got it back to 2-2 at the end... And the same with the dutch today, they get too relaxed and donkey weghorst scores then they give away a really stupid free kick right at the end and the dutch fool them with the pass and a game they should have easily won is off to extra time.... Lucky for them Martinez was on good penalyform(again) and the other Martinez putnhis bad form behind him and taunts from the dutch players to finish the shootout..

Also today is a good example or argument of why you should have your best guy gonup First in the shoot out, neymar was waiting for the fifth penalty for Brazil but Brazil missed their first and Neymar never got to take one... Messi steps up first for the argies and puts it away and sets them on course.... Messi doesn't get the glory of scoring the winning penalty but he sets the team up for the rest of the shoot out.... Of course you could always argue you want the best guy taking the later penalties to win it or stay alive...but I'm voting send the best guy in first.

I can see us not getting out of the group.

Lot of our players not in form and Kane looks knackered poor fella.

A lot can change - Foden could well be our star man out there.

If we get to knockout stages we'll come up against one of the top countries and go out on pens as usual - probably France
