WTF is stopping Canelo from fighting Benavidez?

Why would Bivol duck the rematch with Canelo at one seventy five when he comprehensively beat him? He must have been deliberately low balled by Canelo.

you'd have to ask team dmitry. neither of us know what was in the original contract. there was talk of a rematch clause. canelo has insisted he wants the rematch at one seventy five, canelo said same terms. dmitry declined so canelo has moved on

You cannot conclude Bivol ducked Canelo from that. Offering the rematch on the same conditions when Bivol took less and subsequently losing to Bivol surely is not being serious about the rematch.

Bivol also said he would go down in weight to accommodate Canelo.

That is not ducking.

Bivol's not the one with something to prove. He whupped Canelo at 175, and now wants to show he can do it at 168. That's not ducking.

canelo wanted the chance to prove he can beat dmitry at one seventy five. canelo gets no credit if the rematch takes place at super middle. dmitry was supposedly offered the same terms as the first fight, which is said to be a career high payday for dmitry & where he won the first fight. dmitry turned down the offer

And why do you think Dmitry turned down the offer?
