It's basically just a pissed off Snyder fucking with the new owners and the NFL. Some parts of the conservative media like Fox have run articles about it and that's where we are.

And once again, these name changes have nothing to do with any minority or the problems they face. These minorities have faced various problems for decades and nobody gave a shit. Nobody gives a shit now. Like Doctor Seuss or the pancake syrup or whatever else has had a post George Floyd makeover it's all down to money.

One thing you and I can both agree on is that Dan Snyder is not a very nice person. Which is why he's no longer owner of the Washington team. About the only thing I like about the guy is that he held out as long as possible against the pressure being put on him to change the Redskins name.

But here's where I guess we don't agree. I'm TOTALLY against tokenism. Changing team names and pancake syrup brands gives the APPEARENCE that people are doing something good for a marginalized and downtrodden group of people. When in reality it's just plain distracting. Maybe to YOU it doesn't have anything to do with "any minority or the problems they face." But to the woke bozos who force these changes... they DO. So they pound their chests and each other on the back and call it a day. Anybody that falls for that charade is a moron, in my book.

I know you like to make everything about money and sure... there's always the financial component. But I'm talking about the tragically comical smoke screen that these token gestures represent.

Aunt Jemima was pressured to change its name to Pearl Milling Company.

Has this improved black-white race relations in the US?

Has changing the Washington team name to the Commanders brought about any meaningful improvements in the dire needs of the Native American community?

I honestly don't know how else to phrase this.

But hey... we don't agree, and that's fine.
