I remember he was so adamant after initially breaking the news and saying it was so. I don't know if it was some dumb stigma and the disease itself or just the constant salacious...factual news coming to light but got more and more denying it heavily. But really cannot put much stock in a single Doctor who admits he never tested him himself and his biggest emphasis is "he didn't look like he had aids" multiple times and then later when asked says you cannot tell simply by "looks". Also I never realized the bite often sighted was pectoral area, by the pics they showed.

Dude was a partier, a heavy party partier and it was pretty well known as the drugs, drinking benders and sex parties and risky behavior came out.
