So I'd been in London two days last week and passed St Pancras Station on this date around this exact time as was going to kings Cross for the 12.03 back to Leeds....

Did you see the pink mclaren parked outside St Pancras hotel.

@Mark TKO no I did not see it, but we were standing in front of St Pancras several times and especially after buying our tickets to Southampton on the southwest train via Waterloo... but we were in the Belgrove hotel. Amazing that we came so close but there would have been no way of knowing about it. 42 quid for two tickets to Southampton seems a little steep to me ...what did you pay to go to Leeds.

Yep it's a small world - could have bumped into each other and never known.

I had paid 84 quid return, including first class upgrades both ways, as had booked in advance. Had got standard tickets for 49 quid and then used Seatfrog to get an upgrade both there and back.
