Lost my best friend from school recently. I really thought I would grow old with him and look back at what we achieved in life. He got me into so many memorable scrapes that I would never have tried by myself. He was a joy to be around.

Went to a funeral yesterday of my aunt who was 101 years old. I think she was actually older than that and was just happy and loving in her life. She left beautiful memories and moments.

Life is too short and best to stay positive whilst you interact with others.
Sorry about your heavy losses brother. It is a particular type pf void that as we get older, if we're fortunate is one way to possibly put it, we watch those closest pass on. Was thinking the same just last week with "anniversary" of losing mom and pop 9 and 6 yrs ago on the exact same day. I still say the best friends you make and run deepest with are the ones from youth to adult. Early on. Just got off the phone with a brother from another mother I've known since Jr high 86'. All that time and we've only met up maybe 4,5 times. But somehow manage to talk literally every other week for decades. Cherish the good days.
