Why would beating Maussa and getting a gift against Collazo, neither of whom were themselves top 20 p4p fighters make you a top 10 p4p fighter? It doesn't make sense. All you can really argue is that he belongs there becauase he beat KT. I need to see more before I'm willing to give him that much credit--KT was old, had been extremely inactive going into the fight, had an injured shoulder going into the fight that required surgery immediately after, and the fight was still very close. I didn't watch that fight and say, "oh, Ricky's actually better than KT--he should take KT's p4p spot (roughly 6th at the time, if you wanted to be generous)"; i watched it and said, "wow, KT's really looking past his prime, he's definitely not a top 10 p4p fighter anymore."Originally Posted by 7777
I'll say it again, Hatton is a good fighter--top 20. He will prove himself to me as top 10 if he can beat Castillo. And just so you can see how I don't include Hatton in my top 10, here are 10 fighters who I think are better:
1. PBF
2. Winky
3. Pacquiao
4. Taylor
5. Hopkins (not convinced he's staying retired)
6. MAB
7. R Marquez
8. Castillo
9. Mosely
10. Calzaghe
I'd also rate Casamayor above Hatton. And JMM. So maybe Hatton's 13 for me. Even 12 if Hopkins is really out for good. I'd have to think if there's anyone else.
