Nah, c'mon Gamo. I never thought he was "ducking" Williams, but he was definitely going to pass up on ever fighting that fight in order to try to get a bigger reward/risk-ratio fight. He knew that his sub-par performance against Clottey didn't impress anyone and ruined his chances of scoring a big fight with someone like Mosely, so he finally had to resign himself to fighting Williams instead. You could see it in his post-fight interview. After months of "well, we don't really want to waste our time with this prospect, we want the big fights, and if we have to give up the belt, that's too bad but I guess it has to happen," in the post-fight interview he didn't even pause before saying "well, if he's the mandatory then I guess we have to fight him." So I don't think it proves he has balls (which I don't doubt he does, but I'm just saying)--it just proves that he realizes he looked bad and he's narrowed his options as a result.Originally Posted by El Gamo
